I have been into harness racing since I was a boy and I will be 60 in June, I got my start with my childhood friend Greg Peck and his father Bernie Peck. Bernie was a man who loved his trotters, having some good ones along the way , this is at a time when there weren,t many trotters racing here on Cape Breton Island and the trotters had to race against pacers on race cards . Bernie was a man considered to be ahead of his time , he definitely was a great trot man who passed his knowledge onto his youngest son Greg. It is amazing that Greg went onto train the greatest trotter of all times in my opinion and went onto be a game changer in harness racing as one of the greatest trotting sires of all times. I will forever be greatful to both Bernie and Greg Peck for allowing me to be around their horses in what turned out to be a life long love of harness racing and my love for the standardbred horse of which I still train and own my own now. Enjoy the replay of the Hambo and enjoy the great Muscle Hill as he wins the Hambo and goes onto win the triple crown. It wasn,t just that Muscle Hill won , it is how he won as a 3 year old , he destroyed some great fields making them look ordinary, he just powered away to victory and I have no doubt in my mind that he could have easily went sub 50 if there were other horses in his 3 year old campaign that could have pushed him to go there. Wow what a horse.
The only other Trotter i can think of would be WORLD CLASS TROTTER "MONI MAKER" & Charlottetown PEI's own Walley Hennessey oozes Classiness to the core!🍁🏟🍀🐴🍀🐎🍀💈🐎🔥🔥👑💐🍁
One of the ALL TIME GREATEST Or GOATS ofball times for Trotters ever to touch rock dust on this planet in my personal opinion...other than Federal Flex im on the fence either way probably won't see CLASSINESS of this caliber ever again on the same track that'definetly a given & i would be a happy camper either way! 🍀🐴🍀🐎🍀🍁🙏🍀💈🍀🏟🍀🐎🍀🐴🍀
