This is something that some Christians (not all of them) do that really irks me. It feels like the only reason why they're apologising for something is because the bible says what they've done is bad and not because they understand the harm they directly caused others. The reason why I feel like this is a hollow religious apology is because she's not directly talking about the massive harm shes caused to actual people and also includes apologies for her non-christian actions. This is something that some Christians (not all of them) do that really irks me. It feels like the only reason why they're apologising for something is because the bible says what they've done is bad and not because they understand the harm they directly caused others. The reason why I feel like this is a hollow religious apology is because she's not directly talking about the massive harm shes caused to actual people and also includes apologies for her non-christian actions. It also doesn't help that she's recently shown that she still thinks she was in the right in the Rachel Oates situation during that Oxford thing.

Christianity was more of a hindrance than help in personal growth for me because what God thinks matters more right? So if I made right with God, all other earthly relationships would go well, right? It feels like her apologies were only for herself. Almost like this isn’t stemming from sympathy, but rather from her own need go be forgiven. Or some sort of need to be forgiven to in the eyes of her god. But it doesn’t feel like any sort of actual sympathy.
Honestly, idk though and I could be entirely wrong. It’s just hard to get over her lack of accountability for the Jessi Smiles thing, along with how casually and non seriously she delivered her apologies. Who knows, I’m glad she’s found something to keep her grounded at least 🤷♀️
I completely agree with you. She’s just latching on to another thing she can use to explain away her bad behavior. She’ll find something that she can put all her problems on and then make that thing her entire personality. She did the same thing with ADHD. She’ll probably be on to another thing when the high she’s getting from this wears off.

I’m not 100% sure about this but I believe that they were fictional stories that have a lesson/ warning to them that align with the word of God.
