I have been fishing in lake Wilson since the late 80s and my wildest dream would have guest that there’s a arapaimo in the waters, we have other fish that you never name such as snake head cat fish Chinese catfish and at one point piranha but never that fish.. wow good brah

Brian and I tried all day to catch one of those... LOL. He said there are several of them down by the dam. Saw something really big following the boat... Probably a big Pack about 40 pounds.
Deven Thompson i think you have to sit there and keep the fish alive and all that and I just wanted to release the fish but I possibly could have that would be cool haha
I'm sure there's way more than one in the lake for sure tons of aquarium fish end up in there when people can no longer care for the pets they get released in there
Yeah I fish that lake 20 + yrs and I didn't catch that fish till about 5 yrs ago
Lake Wilson is hard to fish from shore... folks are starting to rent kayaks and bring them to the lake. Opens a lot more areas to fish.
OML i live oahu and ive never seen a clow knife fish in there!
Used to fish there when I was stationed at Schofield Barracks. Pulled out bunch of Peacock Bass.

Rapala countdown (cd7) is a very good lure out there. I caught that fish in the thumbnail on a rapala husky jerk.
