I ran those same BFG KO2 tires that are on Alex's Rubicon on my 4-door Rubicon for about 2 years. They are terrible in mud. Great in snow (especially packed snow), but just terrible in mud.
Videos I had a set of the old KO’s on my truck for a while, absolute worst tire I’ve ever went in the mud with.. they just packed up and wouldn’t clean out no matter how fast you spun them
They suck in the mud because they are all terrains. The BFG mud terrains would do a better job but never as good as a hardcore mud tire but the BFG ‘s will at least drive down the hwy smooth and quiet .
always love watching your recoveries, ive always wanted to go to Mercer and play on the trails,i have an 03 dodge 2500 with the HO 24 valve Cummins in it and a 01 Dakota with the 4.9 magnum,both have 3" lift kits and upgraded to Fox long travel shocks and springs with adjustable air bags for towing, they are both fun and trail ready, next upgrades are Wern 10,000 lbs wenches with the synthetic cable for the dakota and for the 2500 im going to put in a hydraulic ran wench as i have upgraded the PS pump to a sever duty pump that are custom made by a very good friend of mine
If you have Gateway tire distributors up there you really should drop by one and inquire about their bias ply buckshot Mudders to see if they have a size with a load capacity you could mount and use even if you only used them in the wettest muddiest of times. But, prepare your checkbook for tire shock.
I've been waiting to see myself pull that jeep out for months lol. Even if he had decent mud tires on it he wouldn't have made it thru there, wifey got stuck right next to there earlier with lockers and 35" boggers. I might have gotten a bit of mud on his back window and roof
While this is true real mud tires would have helped he wouldn't have made it through that spot, wifey sunk the yellow truck in the background right next to where he was, that's 35" boggers and lockers, its thick loon shit mud. I was the truck that pulled the jeep out for them
Go ditch the Jeep son and go buy a Legend ( UNIMOG) Also buy a set of tire chains and a winch just for grins. And if that does not do the Job, buy a Sherp or a Tracked Tank.
Dam it sucks to have to get pulled out of the mud in your new Jeep in front of your wife but to have you mom there giving you shit too, gotta really suck😆😆😆
The new era jeeps are junk sorry but I had Cjs Tjs Xjs and even a Wj and never once stuck some were modded some were stock over the years but now jeep puts out junk!

fastdude2002 the Goodyear duratrac is technically an all terrain, I have those now in the same size and they are light years better

I've had 6 cj's and not one stock one came with lockers, 3:1 or 4:1 transfer cases or coil springs..Cjs had junk V8s, axles and frames
