I am on my third season with the Simm's G-3s. I had no issues so far. It will be a while before I buy another set of waders. Next time I am going to go for a custom fit.
G4Z owner here. The zipper is a complete game changer, and I will never go back to a non-zipper'd option. Aside from being unbelievably expensive, the waders have performed as expected, and are extremely comfy. I also appreciate not having to pull down my waders to relieve myself throughout the day -- the dream!
@@fst96max have you ever fished in a torrential downpour and had to remove your pack and jacket just to drop your waders? Having the ability to keep your top layers on and just unzip is absolutely a game changer and (almost) worth the extra cost. I'll never buy another pair without.
how g3 and g4 behave during summers ? are they good when there are temperatures like 90-100 f ? i mean the time that ive to walk to the spot. then i gues its not a problem since im in the water.
The hat looks better in real life than on video. Wide angle lens as required by Cheech’s inclusion in the video creates the hat shape distortion. The hat is an almost exact copy of the traditional baseball cap.
I own two pairs of G3's / 2009 and 2013 - I have been very hard on them still no leaks in the feet. I have two new pair in my closet with the 5 layer Gore-Tex in the legs (close out at Cabela's for $300). Personally I think the 4 layer legs feel flimsy.
Been river fishing for 50 years. Been through dozens of waiders over the years. Finally got a pair of orvis high-end that lasted 2 seasons. Bottom line is you can get 3 pair of redball for the price of one Simmons. Just sayin.
Try the Simms and report back. Not Orvis. Not the Patagonia. Not the redball. Try the Simms. Report back.

Well 50 years of fishing but how many days per year? I still have my 30 years old stinky rubber waders which belonged to my uncle. I went for the Orvis because they were on clearance. So far 236 days on the river and I am noticing some wear on the gravel guard. Next I'll go for the Dryft or Pentagonia then I'll try Simms. It all comes down to the user, environment where it's used, care and amount of time spent on the water.
I bought a pair of G3 3yrs ago, leaked the very first day I put them on through the neoprene foot sock. Thought the pants were too thin and got pin leaks easily, hopefully the new ones are better. I'm debating buying patagonia or trying new G3 any comparison ?
Personally have the G3 and I find them bulletproof. Best pair of waders I've had in 20 years. Spendy but worth while. Haven't had to warranty them yet. I suppose that's where the rubber hits the road. I've heard plenty of negative about 'pattys'
Simms Europe Customer Service is the worst I have even been unforunate to experience, they make you feel like a criminal when you question the build quality of their products even though the item in question (G4 Guide wading jacket) was faulty! I will never buy another Simms Product because of this treatment.
Old g4 that finally gave up the ghost lasted 15 years. New g3s from 3 years ago are toilet paper. Either it's new g4 or lose weight and go with Hodgman neoprenes, lol

I totally agree on the g4’s. The zipper is better. Taking a piss is way easier, just one example. Hey, use what ya want to use. G4’s for me !!
So it seems like the only benefit is being able to take a piss easier, for $300 more, no thanks
