An iconic figure who we Bengalis have every reason to feel genuinely proud of. He was such a person who could have single hlandedly turned things around. Unfortunately, in spite of having led West Bengal for so many years as CM, WB saw all-round decline. However, the land reforms carried out in the initial years of the Left Front rule under his guidance in W B were path-breaking.
