3 generations of argentinians have loved his music. I'm 44 and my son 23, I hope my grandsons will love his music too (I will make them listen it) so it will be 4 generations. For us, it is more than music, is identity, is passion... like a fever. I'm just gonna say, this was the smallest show Indio Solari gave. The last concert he did had 500.000 people assisting and it took weeks for everyone to leave because of how much of a religion rock is (and especially Indio).

Started as an underground band in the mid '70s, and remained as an underground band (almost no interviews, promotion, TV, etc, but rather word of mouth), becoming nonetheless massive. Short nickname "Los Redondos", if you search this you surely will find more stuff from these guys, who always deliver good quality.

Hi Tyler, it was very nice to see your reaction to JiJI JI (well pronounced in "argentino" BTW) . First notice I´ve got of what now lot of people calls Los Redondos , was in 1977. They were a band originated in La Plata, capital of Buenos Aires Province (wich is not Buenos Aires City, capital of Argentina). La Plata is an universitarian city. Hence, Carlos "Indio"Solari, the singer and lyricist of the band, is a man with knowledge of literature, cinema and so on. A glimpse of this appears in his lyrics, full of metaphoric sentences. The group name, in those days was Patricio Rey y los Redonditos de Ricota (being P.R an imaginary character, "leader" of the band. And redonditos de ricota, referred to some kind of ricotta dessert). Later on, as years goes by...the name shortened to Los Redondos, but not oficially. They were till they sadly disbanded, PRyLRdR. But the people called them Redondos. Carlos is now 71years old. He is suffering Parkinson. But not retired yet. HIs "new" band, the ones who back him live, and on his records post Redondos is called Los Fundamentalistas del Aire Acondicionado (The Air Conditioned Fundamentalists, funny name, isn´t it?). In my time as a Redondos fan (am an old geezer) far back in the early eighties, that part you called "salsa-like" was labelled by the band followers as "Tarantella" which is a southern italian thing altough to this pair of eastern european biologic ears I inherited from all the ancestors who emigrated to Argentina it does sound rather balcanic

This group never used any type of promotion nor did business with any music company or distrbutor. They managed their own enterprise, which suceeded both in economic and freedom of what they did. You seem surprised, but for argentine rock people this is a medium stadium, maybe around 40.000 people. The last show of Indio Solari was in 2017 in a city called Olavarría. We were 400.000 people there. My son and his wife travelled from Spain and we three made 700kms to be at that moment. So, imagine the public you see at the video you´re seeing, but multiplied by ten. So before everybody ask you for more Indio or Los Redondos (beacuse there is a lot of great songs from them!!) Indio Solari Was the main singer of Patricio Rey y los recónditos de ricota . they started playing during Lates 70's in MV city, La Plata. The band split off during 2000/2001. Their last disc Was "Momo Sampler". Right now Indio plays with his band, and Skay Beilinson plays with his own band as well. I've been during Indio Solari's shows: 2008, 2014, 2016 and 2017. So as 2013 Skay's show. The lirycs about los redondos (just like jijiji) could talk about: reality in a particular Argentinian contexto such as: " noticias de ayer", "el hombre eléctrico", " vencedores vencidos", "nuestro amo juega al esclavo"; or love: "tarea fina", "un poco de amor francés", "gualicho". And all related to drugs and paranoia: "jijiji","ella debe estar tan linda", " gran lady", "semen up"... Started as an underground band in the mid '70s, and remained as an underground band (almost no interviews, promotion, TV, etc, but rather word of mouth), becoming nonetheless massive. Short nickname "Los Redondos", if you search this you surely will find more stuff from these guys, who always deliver good quality.

Hi Tyler, it was very nice to see your reaction to JiJI JI (well pronounced in "argentino" BTW) . First notice I´ve got of what now lot of people calls Los Redondos , was in 1977. They were a band originated in La Plata, capital of Buenos Aires Province (wich is not Buenos Aires City, capital of Argentina). La Plata is an universitarian city. Hence, Carlos "Indio"Solari, the singer and lyricist of the band, is a man with knowledge of literature, cinema and so on. A glimpse of this appears in his lyrics, full of metaphoric sentences. The group name, in those days was Patricio Rey y los Redonditos de Ricota (being P.R an imaginary character, "leader" of the band. And redonditos de ricota, referred to some kind of ricotta dessert). Later on, as years goes by...the name shortened to Los Redondos, but not oficially. They were till they sadly disbanded, PRyLRdR. But the people called them Redondos. Carlos is now 71years old. He is suffering Parkinson. But not retired yet. HIs "new" band, the ones who back him live, and on his records post Redondos is called Los Fundamentalistas del Aire Acondicionado (The Air Conditioned Fundamentalists, funny name, isn´t it?). Carlos Solari, a.k.a.Indio, legend of Argentina´s music.

In my time as a Redondos fan (am an old geezer) far back in the early eighties, that part you called "salsa-like" was labelled by the band followers as "Tarantella" which is a southern italian thing altough to this pair of eastern european biologic ears I inherited from all the ancestors who emigrated to Argentina it does sound rather balcanic

All of your conclussions are qute right. Idio started on mid 80's on a band called Los redonditos de ricota, wich he was the leader then. This son has almost 40 years and it's a rock himn for that people, for generations.

The Singer is Called as Indio Solari, and has more than 40 years of music in ARG, the concert you were reacting is in River Stadium, but please look for Tandil or Olavarria Shows, it had an attendance over 250k people, each. Best from ARG.

Hello Tyler. You may look for more info about Indio Solari as individual composer and singer and the band he created in the 70s called Patricio Rey y sus Redonditos de Ricota. This group never used any type of promotion nor did business with any music company or distrbutor. They managed their own enterprise, which suceeded both in economic and freedom of what they did. You seem surprised, but for argentine rock people this is a medium stadium, maybe around 40.000 people. The last show of Indio Solari was in 2017 in a city called Olavarría. We were 400.000 people there. My son and his wife travelled from Spain and we three made 700kms to be at that moment. So, imagine the public you see at the video you´re seeing, but multiplied by ten. Listening to argentine rock it's a one way ticket, argentinian people will ask for more!! So before everybody ask you for more Indio or Los Redondos (beacuse there is a lot of great songs from them!!) I suggest a reaction to Eruca Sativa - Fuera o Más Allá or La Carne, and Divididos - Casi Estatua, Tanto Anteojo, Salir a Asustar or Paisano de Hurlingham

Indio Solari Was the main singer of Patricio Rey y los recónditos de ricota . they started playing during Lates 70's in MV city, La Plata. The band split off during 2000/2001. Their last disc Was "Momo Sampler".
Right now Indio plays with his band, and Skay Beilinson plays with his own band as well.
I've been during Indio Solari's shows: 2008, 2014, 2016 and 2017. So as 2013 Skay's show.
The lirycs about los redondos (just like jijiji) could talk about: reality in a particular Argentinian contexto such as: " noticias de ayer", "el hombre eléctrico", " vencedores vencidos", "nuestro amo juega al esclavo"; or love: "tarea fina", "un poco de amor francés", "gualicho". And all related to drugs and paranoia: "jijiji","ella debe estar tan linda", " gran lady", "semen up"... Sometimes they critizies people " mi héroe del whisky", "blues de la artillería", " es hora de levantarse querido, ¿dormiste bien?"....
