- Welcome to another episode of Scrap Mechanic Multiplayer Monday! Today we each built secret challenges for each other that we will have only 3 minutes to create something capable of completing the mystery challenge. The challenge could be pretty much anything, but we won't know until the creator reveals the challenge and its rules, and then we will only have 3 minutes to create something to complete it!

Looks like the music accidentally got cut from the first build during editing. I tried to add it back using youtube's editor. They didn't give me much control over the volume though so it'll probably be a bit too loud, but at least it'll be less awkward than no music 😅. Mistakes happen when you edit while tired! Might take a few hours for it to show up though.

MM co-op idea:
You guys should do a challenge together where one person makes a vehicle that drives on land, one person makes one that drives on water, and one that makes a flyer and you all hook you vehicles together with trailer hitches and get through a course while each person does their designated job pulling the others and only they get to control their part
So a flying vehicle would have to drag two chunks of weight through the sky and a boat will have to drag 2 anchors through the water? Sounds annoying af

I'm always finding myself in awe of quick builds. It takes me three minutes to decide what blocks to use and probably another three to decide where the seat will go.
it takes me three minutes to make a broken prototype in lots of games. then 3 more minutes to fix some of the issues. then three more minutes to fix the issues the fixes caused. and then (sometimes) 3 minutes to destroy it because i realize that its a lost cause.

I like that they can build whatever thwy want so they are at an advantage when building their creations/build

Great challenge idea!
Based on these, here's some spin-off ideas:
- Jump rope #2: Pretty much an inverted version of this, with a platform (or to make it easier, multiple platforms) instead of a rope & going a bunch faster, you can ONLY land on the rotating platform to jump again (this will be pretty damn hard but its possible)
- Explosive drift track #2: The inverse, you have a track with normal walls, but in the corners there are explosives (on suspensions?) attached to the outer wall, instead of racing to be the first to reach the finish its more like a drift challenge, you earn points by touching as much explosives as you can without them actually exploding
- Banana box stacking #2: A tower with 3-5 slots that fit boxes above each other (2 extra blocks of space on all axis) and no forklifts allowed, so you need to pick up box, climb tower, place box, return back down, repeat till you've filled the whole tower (this will obviously need more then 3mins of build time)

heres a challenge idea, each person makes a course for the other two, filled with traps. but everybody has to drive fully destructible vehicles. either all the same or built individually with some block limit similar to the glass vehicle survival challenge.
mm ideq: Ydib multiplayer monday, each of you can ask your viewers for ideas and find the best one and build and then do a race with you finished vehicles

Seeing the explosion chain made me think:
Racing against an explosion chain. One person makes a course, and the other two make creations to race along the course while an explosion chain beneath the road follows them. Furthest to make it wins for each round.

MM idea: Build a creation, send the copies to the other 2, have them change 3 things, swap the copies, whoever find the 3 changes first win

The line of the day Has to be, " well, it's not really a forklift it's more like a box lift" Is this suggesting that there is a machine to lift forks or that a forklift is not able to lift boxes? I am unsure.
Its called forklift because it looks like a fork maybe??

Technically its a counterbalance with a box-clamp attachment.
Forklift, fork truck and towmotor are all common jargon for a counterbalance with a fork attachment

MM idea: hungry hungry hippo, 4 of you make creations capable of reaching out and collecting balls and pulling them back into a pit. weld them to the game field and let the chaos ensue.

Do you think Sticky wheels when they are added, would be able to make cranes easier? just a Sticky wheel on the end of a piston connected to a turret seat.

Bring back ceiling/wallriders for a MM, or zero grav. There are a lot of ways each of you could use those twists on basic challenges but with the pull of gravity or no gravity

I didn't really know that scrap mechanic was still a popular game until I saw this video was only three hours ago
Popularity of scrap mechanic goes up and down, its a pretty solid game but we all just keep hitting this point of "too annoyed by how long the development is taking to play" every so often :P They are about to push a new update though, its currently in testing phase (they overhauled mod api making it a lot more powerful, get ready for scriptable gates, official mod support for survival, etc) and its believed that this same update will include "Survival Chapter 2" (new parts, digging into terrain & more)
So my 2 cents: check out the game in a week or two, it will likely have received the full update by then and a lot of people will return to the game again.
Video idea? Use parts of your other creations to make a new creation like you take the wheel from one creation and the piston sistem from another etc.

megazord challenge: You all have to build a walking robot leg and weapon to attach to a pre-made torso, then coop pilot it against obstacles and a farm bot like the olympic challenges

the stacking was hard because the front right wheel was one block behind the front left wheel

The first chalange you could of built something that uses pistons for legs and sits in such a way that the rope goes through the piston as it doesn't have collision physics

I liked the fact scrap didnt say anything about kan telepotring in place.
How about just doing something artistic on main assembly and then judge each other. (Kinda like your breathtaking episode but different game, different subject matter)

I think this video/challenge was recorded before the new updates on scrap mechanic
Well the new update is still in the test branch. Maybe it is too buggy, or lacking multiplayer support? idk
