Love to watch some TT TH-cam channel talking about tactical as I only play with the feel (find weakness from the opponent and make his attacks less effective or harder to apply) without really thinking too much.
This one was really really great! I was looking for some useful tactics in the game, so this video came just at the right moment! I'm so happy that you're back with another fresh and very useful episode! Greetings from Bulgaria! I love your videos! Keep it up!
An excellent video, thank you. If you decide to do one on FH, I would almost split the content into several buckets. One - placement tactics/ (really liked middle bh to then either wide BH or FH) and then separately shot selection tactics (off pace, punch, etc). One of the reasons, many shot tactics require months to develop and at least 1800+ starting rating. Whereas placement ones are appicable to lower levels too. I would potentially reduce the number of tactics per video but expand explanations, show examples and ideally some drills to practice. Also provides room for "easy" additional content. Love your channel. Thank you
A friend gave it to me it rubber that I glue onto the edge of the racket so I can bang into the table when my opponent does reverse or BH serve side/top short to my forehand. I got tired of replacing rackets because of that stroke!!
You must be in touch with everyone in the Boston area. I actually met Jeromy. He was a coach at my club in Westford, MA, and I got to watch him play. Excellent player. His younger brother gave me a couple lessons, and I'm already much better.
I use the dead hand a lot. I simply take my bottom three fingers off the handle. I also use it withy my forehand loop. Taking the bottom 3 fingers off the handle really changes up not only the speed, but also the spin. Confuses a lot of players.
I was on a live feed with Anton Andersson on his Skool page about 2 weeks ago and your name came up. I mentioned how it had been a very long time since you did a video. He said he would be seeing you in league play I think. Good to see you making a video again.
Missed your videos. Everyone should watch the backhand counter and dead pan section. And not just specifically for backhands. Just the general principle of changing the amount of energy on the ball. It can be really effective at breaking up an opponents rhythm, either incresing it or decreasing it on consecutive shots, I actually do the same thing quite frequently on the forehand side as well. I'm old and not as fast as I used to be and I find that active blocks or counters mixed with dead balls are very effective ways of fighting back into rallies until I get a chance tyo make my own big shot.
Thank you for sharing! Yes that’s something that gives many players trouble I teach all my students how to deal with pace and depth change. Like you said it can also be very disruptive and win points or knock your opponents confidence way down
I think backhand system is hard for non pro)) because make backhand shot after i make openning topspin ia really difficult)) we must play like ma long ( forehand and short game) )))
I just love your in depth guides! They not only make my day, they make my month! I always leave with so much new inspiration for the next training sessions
Hi Seth! Very instructive video. As someone who is too often giving similar balls with my backhands, I will try to incorporate these more into my game! I have a question though: How do you feel about the backhand flip receive on (light) backspin balls, in lower leagues? My coach (french national 3 level) tends to guard us against it, as he says it's too risky of a shot when you don't have the feel for it. Moreover, it gives a topspin ball who is fairly easy to counter if the flip is not deep/powerful enough. He prefers a deep push into the backhand corner, or lateral variations on the table. What do you think?
You have to start developing it at some point! Doing it in practice is one thing but actually developing it in match situation is entirely another, the only way to develop it in match situation is to do it in matches! Yes it is an easy ball for the opponent but from my experience the shock they feel of you flipping their serve is difficult to deal with and usually they will just block or counter the ball back to you if you do it to their backhand. I one day decided I was going to start flipping in tournaments and I missed a lot but that was an important step in my flip development.
@@PechPongTT Okay! I will try it in practice tonight :D And what about forehand short backspin balls? Do you flip them too? I tend to find forehand flip wayyy more difficult, because you cannot have as much wrist action as the backhand flip. And the banana flip is kind of advanced.
I watch your forehand mistakes video yesterday. A problem I face is that I bent my wrist to much when playing forehand. So much even that much wrist kept hurting for after playing for a few days. Do you a have a tip to solve this?
@@PechPongTTI bend my wrist down during my forehand, making it hard to play regular strokes or block. Forehand topspin is fine, but other strokes are difficult, likely due to over-bending my wrist. Any tips to improve this? I notice I instinctively bend my wrist down during forehands.

@@PechPongTTThanks, and for the rubbers do you still do the K3? I know K3 pro is out but it's just harder version if I understood correctly

Thanks for the ideas!! Ill keep your advice in mind for future ones :)
This is my favorite TH-cam channel without a doubt. Where do you get that completely black edge tape?

Finally, let's get into it then, thanks man!

A little correction. He ks not number one under 19. Andre Bertelsmeier is the number one in germany for under 19‘s

Seth! It's been so long!❤
Have you been in Bietigheim for the video? Are you playing again in a german Ligue?
When I played in Germany last season I was practicing in Bietgheim everyday I filmed this with Jeromy there.
Pechpong is back!
The return board is excellent for working on these shots especially down the line...
Yes it is a powerful tool!
