if you want to move into a sock pattern that is a step up from vanilla, check out the heel toe do si do pattern on revelry. It's great for self striping yarn.
I have my kit and am looking forward to the class today. So glad I will have access to it again -- my memory is not the best! and ---Yay! An extra pattern! - never even knew there existed "crumb quilting" lol. Can't wait to learn the sock heel (I've never done a sock before). I agree with you...knitting needs to be closed up (I have 3 cats). I love the pockets inside the bag for needles, etc. Ruby & Roses sure has some beautiful yarn! What type of spinning wheel do you have? --Have fun with your family in Portland! ❤

I love you videos so much. Th energy you have is amazing. Yes I would love to make one of your folios with the one side for plastic bobbins. My choice of keeping my floss. I bought the pattern a while back. I printed it out and watched the video and both are great. It's not you for sure but me. One day I plan to make the plunge and make one. I"m sure after that the sky is the limit!!! I would love to go to Acorns and Threads but that's very doubtful. I live in NW FL. Long way to Portland!!!

There are so man crafts I want to do and weekends are not long enough. Love the Make with Tiger Lily class and want to make more, until the next new thing comes along 😂. You definitely need to stop at Acorns & Threads. It’s a great shop and my “local” shop, worth my hour and half drive from the coast.

It will all be there I promise (says the one who has an apartment crammed FULL of all the lanes of craft traffic)! Have fun in your travels! I did Stitch West Spring, Library Stitchers, and this fall I’m doing Stitching in the Wild and Pacific Northwest Stitch Summit (same weekend; PNWSS will be Zoom)… plus I’m on the wait list for Stitch West this fall… I’ve got enough on my plate, lol!! I had to drop Stitch Florida 😭😭

I am a Portlander, and live a couple of miles from Acorns and Threads. It is a great store!
I am also a knitter and Portland is chock full of yarn stores. My current favorite is For Yarn's Sake. It is a few miles west of Acorns and Threads. They have a great space and a great selection of all types of yarn. Northwest Wools is the oldest in Portland and is also close to A & T. It is a very sweet shop in Multnomah village, which is a darling little place to shop and dine. Enjoy you time in Portland!
