Thanks for the review, i live 5 minutes from the distillery and the Guinness brewery and i had no idea about the pear tree growing beside the tower, thanks for sharing that 👍🏻👍🏻🙏

Ah, I wish I lived 5 minutes away. Wish we had more time in Ireland when we visited a few years ago. The Storehouse was a great experience

This is one of my go-to whiskeys when it comes to making cocktails, as it's pretty flexible, but still has that bit of proof to shine past cocktail ingredients and dilution, solid sipper, but great cocktail material.
(speaking of the pear tree, they shaped the logo to look like a pear tree, and there's a little pear-shaped indent in the bottom of the bottle)

Agreed. With it being 90 proof and only used bourbon barrels it's easily moldable in cocktails.
I wish more Irish whiskeys would up the proof. Saw your review of Black Barrel Proof and I'm exceedingly jealous since it won't be available here.

I got a bottle of this a Christmas present and have not opened it yet. I hope it is better than Monkey Shoulder.

It's definitely a different flavor compared to Monkey Shoulder. I like them both but if say they're both better as mixers
