Sadly in 1945 we couldn't run the German state without "ex nazis" & with Stalin now on the doorstep, no buffer from western Europe, we had to concentrate on him. We did what we could, we both humbled & taught them, hoping that mercy would help them find the proper path. We even stayed on in many forms to watch over & guide them in our image...then there was no will to de-communize the east when the wall came down; we figured they'd learned that way was stupid too.
But both sides rise again, nazis call the center commies & commies call us fascists, bc they can be molded into each other. The one thing both sides despise, the man & woman they cannot mold into their ideologies, is the principled democratic person. For they live by ideology, we live by principle.
Do you feel automatic anger & disgust if you see a man beating a woman, no matter their race, or creed, or religion? Then you're principles-based. But if you don't, if you think it might be ok, bc she's a white devil being beat by an oppressed black man, or if it's ok bc it's a non white woman being beat by a fellow white man, or it's ok bc he shares your religion...that's how they think, judging everything through their ideologies and skewing the truth into some twisted criminal game where life is no longer sacred.
And it is. All life is sacred, all peoples are equal & capable of being brought into the fold of principled living unless they choose to be messengers of death.

Being so divided and attacking each other off and on throughout the 17th and 18th centuries, it is absolutely incredible that they not only untied but became a massive power both economically and militarily. To then start the largest war in history, lose, then do it again, and lose again. Needless to say, if you saw the stuff happening in concentration camps as he did and know your family's to blame, that would change you, and not in a way that's reversible by any means.
Masturbated over the thought of Hitler being hanged isn't anywhere near the level of fucked up his father went to. Everyone wanted to see Hitler dead and honestly speaking I'm absolutely certain when saying he probably wasn't the only one to have done so.
Back to what my comment was about (people blaming him for his fathers actions) if you took one look at how people that look at world war 2 perceive him, you'd see I'm not mistaken by saying people actively blame him for things he didn't even do or have control over.
Just because you see him as a senile old man who's spewing things that don't make sense in the modern day world left right and center does not mean the things he's spewing have no logical reasoning behind thinking that way, or that he's wrong just because it doesn't fit into the current scenario. This man has a really difficult but really mature message. Nations are different.
In the same way that the French get really horrible when upper-class becomes aristocratic and the British get really horrible when they feel their government is acting against their own principles, the Germans get really horrible when their society is in decline.
I think it’s the work ethic. If hard work matters to you and (through economic decline) it starts paying you less, then your hope is society can quickly disappear.
These are generalisations but I think there’s truth in them.

Well it's funny you should say that, but I'm a second-generation Northern Irish immigrant living in England - Generation X - and I can positively confirm for you that anti-German propaganda is _exactly_ what this is. Indeed, there is not a day goes by, that the British Broadcasting Corporation does not take several opportunities to broadcast some reminder or other of Germany's awesome catastrophic failure in the years following the United Kingdom's declaration of war upon her in 1939. To say nothing of the BBC's continuous routine obvious belittling of all the other nations of the Earth, particularly Ireland, India, Africa, and the United States. In fact now that I think about it, the BBC's propaganda has been relentless every single day for as long as I can remember, as has the manic British comedy that pokes fun at it, until I stopped watching television or listening to the radio altogether many years ago now, but for the BBC's sporting coverage, which admittedly has always been excellent in every way.
Thankfully, apart from confusing the English children, in England no one ever really takes any serious notice of the BBC's anti-German propaganda, otherwise they would think it is still AD1945 and Adolf Hitler is still alive and well.

I agree with Hans Frank about how economic problems could make humans unscrupulous like in Germany, Russia, and China from the 20th century. Revolutions, violent or not, originate from a lack of PURPOSE. Take away one's purpose, opportunity, and other necessities in life like food, shelter, and entertainment, a person will become villain who sees nothing but power.

I do agree very much purpose is important it's what drives us all strip that away a void is created in individuals that causes them to desparately want to fill it but I wouldn't say average people become villains per say but during such crisis like the many that have happened through history causes people to become weary & desperate. This desperation & longing for an end to their struggles makes it more mentally easy for people to seek more drastic solutions such as willingly surrendering rights & freedoms in order to embrace the authoritarian state in exchange for stability & certainty. Individuals who would have been seen as villains & madmen in years past now become heroes & saviors in their great promise of great messianic vision of a utopian like future, all that is needed from the people is to give them undying support & to standaside silently as they carry out this task. They are not to concern matters only concerning the state they just need to nod their heads in concent. That's how these great attrocities get commited by these regimes, willingly forfeiting one's own conscious ability to think, sense of morality, & even individual repsonsibility & letting the state do all these things for you.

Not a terrible assessment but heavily flawed. A person will not become a "villain"... despite your childish like perceptions of "Good" and "Evil" (which is incorrect) People do not become villains although some who originally did not, may have new opportunities in an economic depression to act out exploitative measures. (which already is happening right now by the very wealthy)
People become starved of sustenance in all forms; food, work, love, connection to their community, and ultimately their goals and purpose. This does not mean people are villains; it means they become desperate and any soul strong enough to speak clearly and directly focus their anger and frustration and passion will become leaders to the many who are unable to speak and vocalize their feelings for themselves. Jesus Christ did this; he was killed. Hitler did this; he was forced into exile. Many vocal opponents were made example of; to the true peoples detriment.
We cannot allow ourselves to be tainted by this flawed and unhelpful view in Good and Bad. Because those who control the media can control you by influencing you to believe in such a way; that the Bad people are those deserved of it and cancelled and the Good are those who are praised in the media, the truth is in our own abilities to decide for ourselves, not to agree unconsciously to the programming and lies pushed by our benefactors in the media. Think for yourself; do not be afraid to question what someone so desperately tries to drill into your head as absolute truth; like in the case of Hitler.
