    Rough water on the plane test towards the end!
    We filmed this one in a 20knot South wester and 2.5-3m swell because we felt you guys deserved an opinion on how a Tuffy really goes in the rough stuff. We also run you through the 5 things I love about my Tuffy.

    Awesomme presentation. It's oh so much the "extreme" of what a tiny boat like this will do. Thanks for taking the time and posting. Yup I HATE the Tinny Slap of my current 5.2 metre side console boat. Stealth and comfort alone is a big winner for this Polycraft as far as I'm concerned. Thanks for taking the time and posting.

    Is it just me, or did the swell look like it was less than 1m from trough to crest? With most waves looking like they were about 0.5m. I don't know where he's getting the 2.5-3m swell info from as I didn't see any waves taller than his head. For size references, remember, the entire boat is 3m long, no wave came anywhere close to being as tall as the boat is long. Don't get me wrong, the little 3m boat did wonderfully in those waves pictured, but calling them 2.5 to 3m seems like it's stretching the truth considerably.

    • @On-PointAdventures
      @On-PointAdventures  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Outer reef took a lot of the oomf out of the swell, the swell bouy for the area fishing was a actually peaking on the day at 3.5m. Inside where we where fishing still had rises of 1.5m.
      Apart from the justification that isn’t really warranted or needed cameras have the ability to make even the roughest water look tolerable.
      Cheers for the comment David. Any comment be it positive or trying to prove someone wrong go along way with helping the channel out.
      Have a great day 👌

    • @BeowulfNode
      @BeowulfNode 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@On-PointAdventures My point was that if you're going to say the tuffy can handle seas up to x meters, then say the wave height from the time and location of where you actually were. If it was 1.0 to 1.5m swell in the area when and where you were, then say that. If you want to say that when the forecast near where you are says 2.5-3m swell it's ok to take your tuffy out, then say that's because of the reef taking the oomf out of the waves inside the reef. If the reason you didn't take your tuffy out past the reef is that you're not crazy enough to try and take it in to actual 2.5-3m waves say that too. That would all be useful info and improve your content to make a better channel. As you mentioned the camera makes it hard to judge the actual wave size, which is why people rely on what you say and write as well as what is shown in the video, to judge how it performs.
