C'mon, man. It's just an overevolved creepypasta in the end. The animations are nice, considering the guy probably worked on it on his own, but its still crude. Most of the shock comes from the way it twists the source material, the way its filmed and choreographed, and the sound design. It's length also contributes, in no small part, as it feels like a proper documentary. But its not. Its just a mockumentary. You'll get over it soon enough. Plus, despite the sterile, scientific approach it does, biofusion - or, the way it's depicted in Shed 17 - still comes off as total bullshit. Its only when you take into account the fact that in this universe, people are canonically the wooden dolls that were used on the model series IRL (and thus, for example, the Nazis' "Kristalnacht" or "Night of Broken Glass", is replaced with the "Night of Sawdust"), that it starts to make some semblance of sense. Shed 17 was a shocker, but really, its just the blackest comedy the internet has ever offered to the fandom. If you have friends who know you like Thomas the Tank Engine, invite them over, and watch it with them as a dare. It'll either shock the more than it does you, or they'll just laugh...
Hello, I'm one of the creative consultants of "Project G-1" and a good friend of Pauls Vids himself. I'm glad you like Paul's latest video and can understand your criticism. About the third "Shed 17" movie you talked about, and even I once talked to Paul about it too, he claimed had no idea what he'd do for a third one. He said he'd maybe have to tell a parallel story about another set of engines, but it would still be more of the same, one blows up, one crashes, one pulls his head off, etc. But I suggest we give him some more time to consider. Maybe he'll want to, maybe he'll not; can't force him to make one choice.
He should def. try out the skarloey/mid-sodor engines! I mean they seem like they might end up the most successful, with their boilers being about the length of your average person, they might be the most successful and most legal biofusion experiments for all I know

Shed 17 scared the shit out of me especially the ending reveal with Thomas in the shed, but project g-1 just made me cry over Thomas with his friends and diesel with Annie as well as making me feel sympathetic towards Hartley instead of being terrified and laughing my ass off a lot
For some bizarre reason, Shed 17 and Project G-1 didn’t scared me because they look more like attempts of making an adult version of kids shows like Bob the Builder, SpongeBob SquarePants, and The PowerPuff Girls

I was actually expecting it to be less gory than Shed 17, but it is just as if not more Gory, the smudger Scene was... disturbing... yes I know it was unintentional but I think that is what you should feel at that moment, I felt kind of the same about the welsh Coal-drug thing, it was disturbing, then there was Donald and Douglas’s death, while Donald wasn’t seen dying, We saw Douglas die in full color, his plates fall off, his face falls off and we see his vibrating scarecrow-like body with his arms on his sides as he just keeps screaming “no!” Over and over again until the door closes on him and he explodes and blood appears on the glass, I think that was probably the moment I fucking lost my shit, then there was Annie’s death which while itself was not over-the-top at the end when Diesel has to drive over her burning Corpse to get to the door... that’s just fucking brutal for both of them, and then when he’s banging on the door me and him both loose our respective shits, there are other scenes that got to me but the ending “bond” between Thomas and Project G1 and Project G1’s subsequent death was touching and saddening... there was just one problem, why did they show footage of JUST Gordon and Thomas? Yes it’s Gordon’s face on the monster but if that is really the amalgamation of all his friends then they should be showing footage of all the engines, also, Gordon has never been of importance before besides his death in the previous movie, so it kinda feels weird he’s so important now, Keith’s Death was shocking and I don’t really want to believe he’s dead just yet but hey what do I know, then the end credits scene with diesel 10 was shocking as well and... fine... that’s it, fine, it was fine, the problem is that it made no sense, look at that scene again and you’ll see that it would be impossible for A: Diesel 10 to be so close to the Guy yet so far away from the gate. B: his claw to be so big. And C: why the gate is open, besides a few problems it was overall a strong sequel, I give it 9/10
I really think Paul should do Bob the Builder next because I want to know the untold truth behind Bob’s construction vehicles. Much like TUGS, Paul should also use a concept completely different than bio-Fusion.

9:50-If you’re wondering, the music was Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana. It was actually been used in the final Godfather movie in very similar scene, when a much older Michael Corleone receives the most cruel and tragic punishment for his past actions: having his daughter killed by a hitman. In fact, the entire scene with Thomas screaming in grief was a reference to that scene.
the driver in Project G-1 is called Keith Hartley, he got murdered by Thomas after G-1 was defeated by boulder; after he got murdered by Thomas, he was taken to the hospital, therefore, he was put in a large liquid tank. Finally, Keith was bio-fused into a Troublesome truck by the Fat Controller; he did it as a punishment due to his whistleblowing activities.
I thought Project G-1 was stupid. For me it’s similar to Batman Forever where it suffers from an identity crisis. It doesn’t know whether it wants to a mockumentary, a horror, a comedy, an action, or all of the examples I stated.

I honestly thought this one was a little bit more scarier than Shed 17, but this one had some sad moments as well. I really hated it whenever the G-1 monster got knocked over by Boulder when clearly Thomas was the only one solution to bring peace since that was all his friends.
To sum it up, I'd say this sequel was technically improved but the ending just made the whole documentary feeling just fell apart and I was left feeling numb, creeped out and confused. Very confused

Project G-1 was amazing, though I agree that it didn't top Shed 17. Shed 17 was a huge WTF back in 2015 and there was a sort of charm to it that I can't explain. We didn't know what to expect from Shed 17, yet when G-1 came out, everyone was preparing themselves for the blood and gory. G-1 was still quite good though. I really wish people got past the Smudger scene. They're just haters looking for reasons to dislike it
Shed 17 was serious, realistic, and there was a ton of things to go off of. The problem with G-1 was that there wasn’t much to go from story wise. There was a ban on bio fusion in 1984 so they had to use engines that were already biofused but we didn’t know. The comedy was a good touch, but it takes away from the fact that this is gory, demented and messes with your childhood. To be taking it so lightly, loses the tension. Project G-1 was a great video, though. Don’t get me wrong. I loved how we got to see a bigger picture with more engines. Jabs at HiT and Mattel were great. Seeing Thomas again was amazing. Keith’s death I hated, but in a storytelling POV it had to be done. While I hate it, it was genius. I think we can all agree Project G-1 was worth the wait.
I thought it did had some elements similar to Jurassic Park/Jurassic World. Where the German scientist Owen Routh is like Dr. Henry Wu. Where in the first film you don't suspect much and think he's a well respected person despite his controversial work with genetic engineering. But later in this and the 4th Jurassic Park, you realize there was something suspicious about him and he sees genetic innovation as an addiction. That and the G-1 monster being like the Indominus Rex and Indoraptor, a creature that was created by scientists only to appease to themselves, and was kept hidden until by an unfortunate coincidence escapes. Also when the G-1 Monster attacked the city, it reminded me of something like Godzilla or Cloverfield(Which I still have yet to watch as of this comment).And the design kind of reminds me of John Carpenter's The Thing.
Unfortunately I missed the Smudger scene so I don’t really have an opinion on it. Tho it intrigues me so much that I really want to see it. Aside from that, Project G-1 as a whole is a good film. It did give me a few scares here and there, but it never surprised me like Shed 17 did. If there is gonna be another movie, then I hope it takes a more unpredictable approach like it did with the first movie.

Yeah. When I first watched shed 17 I was like, what!. But after a while I just kept rewatching it. When I saw trailera G-1 I was super hyped for it but after watching it, I will say that like you said it didn't really top Shed 17. My only problem is that people kepted saying, " Yeah Smudger was raped so thats why he reuploaded it." I really wish people didn't read past the scene. Although yes it was hard to tell what happened but I really thought that he was just turned on by the steamies ( and no I'm not making a dirty joke about it.) But that was my only problem with it. My favorite part of the film has to be the cranky kamikaze scene. And I also loved the Diesel storyline aswell

What I don’t understand is why Thomas had to be “rebuilt” with the surgeries. I don’t know. If I was him after seeing what I saw in Shed 17 and the painful way the body split open and seeing what he truly is, he probably wished he was dead.

G-1 was a definite improvement on Shed 17. Excellent mix of horror, humour and the downright bizarre. Hopefully he ends up making a trilogy.

I thought it did had some elements similar to Jurassic Park/Jurassic World. Where the German scientist Owen Routh is like Dr. Henry Wu. Where in the first film you don't suspect much and think he's a well respected person despite his controversial work with genetic engineering. But later in this and the 4th Jurassic Park, you realize there was something suspicious about him and he sees genetic innovation as an addiction. That and the G-1 monster being like the Indominus Rex and Indoraptor, a creature that was created by scientists only to appease to themselves, and was kept hidden until by an unfortunate coincidence escapes. Also when the G-1 Monster attacked the city, it reminded me of something like Godzilla or Cloverfield(Which I still have yet to watch as of this comment).And the design kind of reminds me of John Carpenter's The Thing.

Unfortunately I missed the Smudger scene so I don’t really have an opinion on it. Tho it intrigues me so much that I really want to see it. Aside from that, Project G-1 as a whole is a good film. It did give me a few scares here and there, but it never surprised me like Shed 17 did. If there is gonna be another movie, then I hope it takes a more unpredictable approach like it did with the first movie.

Yeah. When I first watched shed 17 I was like, what!. But after a while I just kept rewatching it. When I saw trailera G-1 I was super hyped for it but after watching it, I will say that like you said it didn't really top Shed 17. My only problem is that people kepted saying, " Yeah Smudger was raped so thats why he reuploaded it." I really wish people didn't read past the scene. Although yes it was hard to tell what happened but I really thought that he was just turned on by the steamies ( and no I'm not making a dirty joke about it.) But that was my only problem with it. My favorite part of the film has to be the cranky kamikaze scene. And I also loved the Diesel storyline aswell

I for one at first wasn't for sure after seeing the video the first time. I agree. Shed 17 is superior to Project G-1 imo. The way Shed 17 ended made it hard to make a sequel, in my eyes anyway.
( btw, I can very much imagine smudger’s story in Shed 17, besides the infamous tickle scene. )

What I don’t understand is why Thomas had to be “rebuilt” with the surgeries. I don’t know. If I was him after seeing what I saw in Shed 17 and the painful way the body split open and seeing what he truly is, he probably wished he was dead.
