Her most famous performances at age 14 Rechenka and Dernier Danse (look for the longer full version not the TV show short one), age 15 Wicked game, or Can't help falling in love at age 18. But she shines in all kind of songs, approaching them differently, like Dimash Qudaibergen. She creates atmosphere, paints with her voice, no note without emotion, color. Happy New Year!
She has performed the same song at same age of 14 with same conviction on the concert stage of the You are Super, you can hear her better, and it's around 5 minutes long, the full song. A voice coach should not react to a short version where you can barely hear her from the buttons and claps, and cut short. It is emotional, touching, but definately not fitting for voice analysis. A duo with operatic base singer, with the same power. All of this in the video is interesting, but it's not alien vocals. Diana herself now has more power and wider range compared with her childhood.

@@MolnarG007 I think, sometimes the best thing you can tell to your students is "never try to repeat after her, you could lose your larynx/chords/something else". And all is healthy enough for her. My comment wasn't about vocal technique, it was about alien vocals. A woman is unable to sing together with an operatic bass singer close enough and with similar power, Diana is able.
Don't get me wrong i understand your point, and it is an amazing performance. But for a vocal coach first listen to Diana it's far from optimal, because it only uses few technique and very short. @@MolnarG007 but we know she has experience and does follow the arc of her work. we also get a rare exchange of her work with live orchestras to discuss. most of her posts have a backing track , even in her live tour its just her on stage. i think its important to include this into her list of Diana's works so far. I'm no vocal coach but i think there's more gong on to achieve this as they may best understand.
Definately worth checking by Elizabeth from Charismatic Voice or others who have heard Diana 6-7 times. But i'm repeating myself this performance nowhere near the top few picks to recommend for the first listen. This compilation clip parallels a notion I’ve had for a bit, since discovering singers like Dimash, Diana Ankudinova and Tim Foust. That is: this is the age of vocalists we are living in. Call them aliens, or unicorns, or even anomalies. I believe we are living in a vocal era where the capabilities of the human voice seem to shine brighter and stretch farther than ever before. I just feel it is such a great time to be a fan of singing and vocal production- a real wealth of unique human voices out there creating stupendous vocal magic.

Tim Foust is the bass for the a cappella group Home Free. They would be great to react to. If you do, a good video of them to start with is Man of Constant Sorrow. Their beatboxer is also mind boggling

I think the short TV show version of Derniere Danse is her best and most powerful performance for that song.
