I manufacturer curved plywood mostly for the furniture industry. We use 1/10" sycamore veneer as a cheaper substitute for oak. We will use a 1/42" white oak face veneer on each outside with the sycamore as the core. All you see, of course, is the side cut and everyone thinks it's all oak. And it does look similar. And Eddie, I appreciate the shout out you and Mark gave. Really nice. Take care, Shannon
Eddie thank you for the "other side". It completes the process for me! The bus motor sounds meaner on this side. You guys amaze me. Not only is it entertaining, but educational. I still haven't seen that darn laser Mark always talks about. LOL Keep up the good work!
Hi, Eddie just looking at the timber. Words have no meaning for its beauty, and once again, you have excelled with the video, keep them coming, Best regards from John .North East Coast UK.
Pretty cool, Eddie. It's definitely interesting with the grain difference inside and out. If ya can't say anything nice don't say anything at all. Good advice.
Good video Eddie nice looking lumber.... WORDS > A person can build someone up with words or tear them down with Words. Old man said one time, you have one mouth, and two ears; the reason being/ You should listen twice as much as you speak. We should let our thoughts kind roll around in our mind before we spew them out... :) TY Eddie
I already knew it was going to be good just looking at the end. Kind of like breaking a rock in half and seeing what you might get. Maybe there is a diamond made out of wood inside. Could be something precious. Everything one does deserves respect.
Eddie, speaking of words..........You need more subscribers and each one of us sends out a share and other youtubers puts out the word (s) you will become more popular, words is a wonderful saying as long as it's not abused. I really look forward to your videos, you have a talent (speaking) not a lot of people have that gift. God bless.
Difference and deference are two words that should be kept in mind when dealing with people in general. BTW, Mark looks like he's pumping gas on an old fashioned pump.
T.H.E. Edwardian, you wield litte Donnie like you're carving off slices on a punky Thanksgiving turkey. Word of the Oy evy Day: Wield, def: I learned the wielding trade doing time in prison.
Ya hit the motherload on that one. I think he worried too much about the pith on that one. It'll either crack or it won't. My bet with that much spalting all the stress is gone.
Wow, beautiful what I think this is the best video I’ve seen come out of this sawmill it certainly was the quietest one we didn’t have to listen to Mark’s mouth. Lol

Eddie what is Sycamore used primarily for? Looks really clean with nice grain!
The market isn’t real big for it. The more unique is used for furniture. Could be flooring or painted trim. Thank you
Sycamore is a lot like beech very tough to tell the difference if 2 boards were side by side
