Think it's because his ego and attitude far outweigh his ability. His footwork, Jab and head movement are non existent and seems watching his training it hasn't changed. He seems to think throwing 15 left hooks in a row is optimal. He will always get beat by someone who can move and jab.
My only thing is he’s speaks asif he’s a lot better than he is he’s yet to beat a top fighter.. he’s an entertaining fighter got a lot of heart good chin and work rate his persona is just a little irritating he had the golovkin fight there and it fell threw due to him or his team so I think he likes to do a lot of talking and fighting mediocre opposition
I don’t see that as a bad thing. All fighters at pro level need a bit of that. He’s done well enough to justify having some ego - he’s never gonna set the world on fire but he’s good at what he does. Admittedly, his opponents haven’t been impressive but I still find him entertaining 😄
