My 16 yr old son has been pulling his brows and lashes since elementary school. We're so excited to try this system. He may never be cured from this, but we'll never stop helping him. Thank you for making this video. It IS hard to talk about when your baby is suffering, but you and your kiddo are not alone! ❤❤❤
Eric, I have always enjoyed your review of wearables. As it so happens, I just wanted to let you know there is light at the end of the tunnel. My then-9 year old daughter suffered from OCD and this same malady; she would continually pull all of her eyelashes out. I was a trying several years for all of us, with a combination of therapy and medication. Fast forward 15 years, and she is happy, healthy, married, and the apple of her dad's eye. I teared up when I watched your video, having all of those memories come to the surface. Hang in there, man! I have faith things will work out!
@@tedjenkins1736 thanks, Ted! I'd certainly appreciate it! I'm a grown adult but still struggle with trich. I'm so glad your daughter found what worked for her and is doing well! Her success undoubtedly gives me (and many others!) hope!! :)
I am 57 yrs Young started at 12 yrs pulling I am diagnosed with anxiety depression and ptsd at the age of 55 approximately and I do have tricotillamaina diagnosed it is very overwhelming to continue with all these conditions but this is less at times when it isnt more.... I actually think it's never really curable, but it can be less as in it can go away for weeks prolonged maybe months but anything can trigger it (in my case) and we are back where we started. I wish everyone great luck on your progress 🙏
I've suffered with one or another bfrb for about 40 years. The one I struggle most with, currently, is morsicatio buccarum--chronic cheek biting. Just got my keen2 the other day. Having a hard time calibrating it, but hopefully I'll get it down. I really want it to help, as nothing has worked so far. I've tried making deals with myself, berating myself, etc. Nothing works. Fingers crossed!
What is your currently opinion about the Bracelet ? . Did it work? I have the tricotillamania for almost like 11 years. İt's like getting worsr. I want to change it. This bracelet seems expensive for me. But if it's really changing something then I'll buy it.
I've had trich since I was 7 - now 33. Excited to try this. Just want you and your child to know there's nothing 'wrong' with them, there's no shame in this, every single person on this planet has some kind of stress coping mechanism - this just happens to be easily visible. But it can be managed, cycles of thoughts and behavior can be managed. They have IT - it doesn't have them. They have the power. They can do it. Highly recommend cognitive therapy and trauma therapy as well
Thanks Tim, it was good to make another video, even though it’s been a while. I’m looking forward to seeing what Apple releases today. The Apple Watch is always one of my favorite releases each year.
I really need something like this to stop my beard pulling, I've been pulling hairs for like 7 years now and the longest I've been able to stop has been 2 months. I purchased keen 1 but I got such awful false positives it was absolute trash - an absolute waste of money. I wish I could sell it because it worked so badly I feel like to got duped.
I've read the tech is better with the new one. If you still have your first one you should try reaching out to them regarding it. They seem to be really into wanting to help everyone have success with it. I know you can now get consults or something with them to get assistance with seeing it up, etc. So I really encourage you to reach out to them!
Eric, our 6 year old girl suffers with Trich, and I just discovered this device last night and we are cinsidering getting ine for her. After watching your very helpful review, I am willing to try it. Our girl used to pull her eyebrows and eyelashes, and then when she got embarrassed about the way she looked, moved on to pulling every hair on her arms and legs out. Now that she has no hair left on her arms and legs, she just started pulling her lashes again. We are heartbroken, and I can relate to your emotions. My concern is about the false positives. I would think that too many false positives would cause your body to ignore the vibration. Is it advanced enough to know the difference between rubbing a itchy eye vs pulling an eyelash?
Unfortunately it’s probably not advanced enough to know the difference between rubbing an eye and pulling. For us, we have found that journaling for self awareness and therapy were great solutions. Also, experiment with as much as possible: there is no one sized solution, and we found that having my daughter get Long acrylic nails helped immensely, because it made it harder for her to pull, and it brought more awareness to her pulling.

@@jessicac4751 I can't remember off the top of my head...let me ask her and I will get back to you!
