I adore this channel. As much as I miss the Rex/Daniel dynamic, this is such a delightful format that still centers on whiskey but doesn't make it the primary focus in life, which is an objectively good way to live life if we're being honest. Cheers Daniel, you are one magnificent bastard.
Humans aren't the greatest at self-evaluation - but heck, we're awfully discerning with others. Applying it back is the most "hindsight is 20/20" endeaver ever. Music, experience, your strengths, whatever; all the same. Thanks for being genuine, as you always are Daniel. Cheers.
Thank you for the transparency on how ideas really are created. So much is from collaboration or inspiration from others vs this "ideal" of the "flash of genius". Thank you for letting us know we have things to offer even if its taking an idea and making it our own. Love these episodes.
I like hearing how this channel came to be. I have very few people that I look to for influence. Daniel is among that select few whose thoughts and opinions carry any weight with me. Cheers to you Daniel, I am so glad you're here.
Another incredible episode by the best storyteller. Next time can you show us the packaging or box or container that the whiskey or bourbon comes in please?
I love this format! Ive learned so much from you, and I have been binge watching both channels since starting my job at a liquor store. I've always enjoyed whiskey and the story, but now being surrounded by all the products ive been been researching and learning as much as I can about everything. The best part is getting to talk to customers who might not be a whiskey enthusiast but finding out what they normally like and then helping branch out and explain other brand's whiskeys, blends, history, tasting notes and my personal experiences if any. So many have come back and said thank you that they enjoyed it and asked for other recommendations. I feel this video.
Thank you Daniel for this video! I have been watching your videos for a long time, and this year I finally built up the courage to start my own channel (in Portuguese) and I'm really enjoying it. This would not have happened if it wasn't for you, rex, and a few other Whiskeytubers. CHEERS!
You can still find the "Simple" song on Spotify. Someone get this man a toy guitar! 🖖😎🥃🎸 You did inspire me to FINALLY pull the trigger on purchasing that Leopold Brothers Three Chamber Rye at last. Shipping costs be damned!!! But MORE importantly, the early days of your Advent Calendar gave me that extra nudge to just start recording videos on TH-cam. Some crazy, bonkers, unimaginable stuff has happened in my life ever since. 😉
Sweet child of mine riff was Slash playing around trying to mimic a carnival tune normally played on an organ. Inspiration comes where and when it wants
If you ever find yourself in Ohio please please let me know I would love to cook a meal and have some drinks conversation and learn from you as much as it threw me off when you and Rex split the channels I can honestly say I really like this format a lot better I love the educational stuff from you and I love the shenanigans from him and Brianna Great job all around you people are amazing
Sounds like Roy saw something in you that you had yet to recognize. Too often , it seems that many people fear someone else advancing to their true abilities. We need more people like Roy. Thank you....and Roy.
As a software engineer this really resonated. So much of my job distills down to taking inspiration from other people's work and ideas (who in turn build on other people's work), learning from them, and figuring out how to adapt the ideas and concepts to solve the problem at hand. I'd say that in my field rather than 30/70, if we're being honest it is probably closer to 10/90. And the best are the ones that can take that 90 and really run with it.
What you've talked about is especially important as a Creator in general. You have provided me with inspiration also. Because of you and Rex I'm a little bit of inspiration from somewhere else, I decided to start a channel about Colorado Whiskey. I hope to make it a business that I can do. So thank you for that 30%. And thank you for another great conversation 😊🥃
Really enjoying your mature, humble approach to all things whiskey (and life). If im being honest, I just grew tired of Rex's 'shenanigans' and 'look at me' approach. Appreciate your knowledge. Subscribed!
Daniel, wondering if you might share your perspective on if you see the som courses as primarily industry people geared over the enthusiast. Does that balance shift as you move on through the levels? Thoughts on enthusiasts in level one as I’d love to join one of these days. Appreciate it!
Dude, that’s art…. Most of the great music was nothing but happy accidents. No shame in that game. Dig the new format btw, and I really like the music analogies, ie mids/highs/lows etc.

Honesty and good storytelling is so refreshing. Please keep ‘em coming!
While I miss the buddy dynamic of old Rex/Daniel Vault, I genuinely love the 50:50 whiskey tasting : life coaching with Daniel format we have now.
Welcome all Whiskey Vaulters to Story Time with Daniel!

GOOD MORNING YOU MB'S.... 🥃

Beautiful commentary on humility and why it is a key to success.
The genius of Daniel is that he comes up with incredible tales , every single time.
Here for the algorithm boost 🎉
Simple, from the album Things Cange!, a catchy, very jazzy song, love it!!, have it on my playlist Thank you Daniel!
im really glad you are here!!!

Very nice work. Engaging narratives both whisk(e)y and worldly. Bravo! 😎
The whiskey community you've helped build and we all fell into is definitely inspiring!

I may have said that before. But thanks anyway 😉
Your talk on "inspiration" was .... inspiring.
Fabulous story telling Sechansie.
Thanks for the video!
Love the story Daniel ..........Thanks man :) Cheers
Great video!! Your honesty and storytelling really add to the experience. Keep it up!!
Glad YOU'RE here. Inspirational and meaningful content and, oh yeah, whiskey stuff too.

Great story as always 😊
Something my dad told me when i was a kid stuck with me my whole life
He said "youre not stupid if you solved the problem"

I'm gonna answer this on an episode!
I get inspired by others!!!!
Hearing the story of how you figured out the intro to these general videos makes me wonder how you came up with the intro to gifted drams
That's one I actually just made up
Hi buddy, how’s it going?
❤❤❤
Is that a TMNT on the Yeti bottle? Regardless, I love the message in this one.
Yes :)
Where is rex "That Magnificent Bastard"
Daniel got the idea to stick his pinky finger out while drinking from me. (It improves the aerodynamics)
Maximum fancy
😁🙌🏻🥃
What happened to Rex.
