Why don’t we just make the rustbelt another BRIC area and invest in it like we did in BRIC?
It worked for those countries and returned profits, why not here in the US?
We need to provide stable good jobs to prevent debt, not just give free money to pay the debts.

Illiterate, uninformed view. The U.S. had the highest tariffs in the world from 1830 until the early 1900s. The U.S. grew from an underdeveloped backwater into the greatest country (economically) in human history. This was all done explicitly through the protectionist ‘American system’. The smoot hawley tariff was foolish not because protectionism doesn’t work (see the rise of the U.S.), but because the country most dependent on foreigners to purchase your goods is most vulnerable to trade retaliation. It would be like if China or Japan or Germany (large countries most dependent on trade surpluses) went on an aggressive campaign of adding tariffs to all their trading partners. These countries have nothing to offer, as they already take more demand from the world economy than they add.

If we keep allowing unfettered immigration we will be…. Close the border, raise tariffs and put America first. Its OUR COUNTRY. I’m all for WALL STREET but not at the ongoing expense of main street -since Reagan we’ve been sending our jobs overseas… we’re creating middle class families in every country but our own.
I am starting to wonder if in the end there is very little difference between the tyranny of BlackRock and Stalin
… it’s anti-human tyranny and it needs to stop.
Endless migration may keep wages low and produces being sold but its destructive to our national sovereignty…
Globalization is not the answer … its the end.

I am a green, but I realise that new administration can potentially clear the path for a conservative majority in the senate. From what I see in JDs history in the senate, many bills got pushed to the committee which seems to be a dead end. I see that he has great idea for veterans which is always appreciated. He is also very carful where federal spending goes which can go a long way to clear budgets for things that really matter. I truly hope that his knowledge can provide some sense to former president Trump, because we need the brains not the mouth. All the best of luck to the two candidates.

On June 16, 2024, I wrote about J.D Vance and why I believed DJT would pick him as his VP.
"I want to further comment on J.D. Vance. His book 'HillBilly Elegy' tells his story. I repeat, I trust J.D and therefore I suspect so does Trump. I expose myself to ridicule for saying this, but what the hell, I'm Madala (old) anyway LOL. J.D has great instincts and he never fails to acknowledge his Hillbilly background. Hillbillys' are loyal; odd, dicey, but they are not racists. They have a unique culture, a culture that was founded in adversity and poverty. Even African-Americans can look down upon them, and often do. I wouldn't like to marry a hillbilly, but I like J.D for Vice-POTUS. J.D would look anyone in the eyes and tell them to ".....off" and mean it.
