Vasool Raja MBBS is a 2004 Indian Tamil-language comedy-drama film directed by Saran. The film is the Tamil remake of the Hindi film Munnabhai MBBS. It stars Kamal Haasan, Prabhu, Sneha, and Prakash Raj, in the lead roles, while Nagesh, Rohini Hattangadi, Jayasurya, Malavika, Crazy Mohan, and Karunas, among others, play supporting roles. The film's music was composed by Bharadwaj.

This is Hindi remake, in original version, only hero performs, others are just robos in acting (except Boman irani - Costume doesn't match thou). Here we can see the emotional bonding between Kamal and kaka radhakrishnan, how great feel to watch this.

@@rajeshs7727 Only for you people, but neutral audience, they will point out VR is better than original one. Fact is except seniority wise, nothing special in original. You know what? only the base story and screenplay from original with due credits, but the dialogues and performances from all actors were much better than the original one. Only sanjay dutt and boman irani were good, others were below average performers, seriously i laughed much during serious scenes in munnabhai as supporting cast shows no intent in acting. Do one thing, just show these two movies to a person who didn't watch these movies, but change the order, put vasool raja before munna bhai and you get answer is munna bhai looks like remake. That means the remake was fully justified and much improvements to the areas where original lacked.
The cinematography of original is so much more superior than this. Also the bgm of original is better.

Such a wonderful scene ❤
Though the theme is unrealistic, it appeals to our hearts. Clinical psychology is given more attention. While the original Munnabhai MBBS was running in Mumbai, I couldn't watch it. Still, I have not seen 'Munnabhai' . I 'm damn sure that "Vasoolraja MBBS" is definitely more superior than 'Munnabhai'. The entire cast of actors - from Kamal, Prakash Raj, Sneha, 'Kaka' Radhakrishnan to AK Veerasamy and the hospital matron- is superb! Every 15th minute, our eyes are filmy with uncontrolled emotions; the apt background music 'disturbs' us! What a sublime tune! ('ஊனினை உருக்கி உள்ளொளி பெருக்கும்' இசை!).
The subaltern culture is elevated for its humanness! The situation of the lumpen proletariat keeps them always invisible! The unmasking of them is the major theme. 'Sweeper' AK Veerasamy episode, Kaka's playing carrom board -the entire screen showing his one eye enlarged and the timely running commentary by Kamal- all touch our hearts. Love ('kattippudi vaidhyam') has its soothing effect! 'Coma patient' Anand recovered back to life thanks to the respectable humane treatment! Salute to Kamal.
This movie is not even 10% of munnabhai in every category be it acting comedy emotion direction screenplay editing.. if u compare this with munna bhai u will come to know..
