COMPONENTS - The cards look great, and the quality has been fine so far. The boards and overall graphic design feel a bit basic at times.

Regarding too easy: Have you played Scenario 4 with only 2 Heroes? Scenarios 1-3 are on the easy side but it gets harder.

Some of the later ones are definitely tougher, but that still means that experienced gamers are stuck with a very limited number of scenarios to play for a challenge

I had a fun time with it, but I'm not sure if it's a keeper for me. I played it solo, and it worked fine. Maybe it's because I haven't watched the show, but the theme didn't really pop for me. I didn't feel like a superhero, and that's what I want in a game like this.

My favorites for that aspect (feeling like a superhero) are still Sentinels of the Multiverse and Marvel Champions.

I'm wondering if you could house rule either how often you can attack, or maybe cap the damage you can do in a turn, or something similar? I'm wondering how tweak-able this is to avoid this problem.

Sure, or maybe limit how many damage-focused powers you can take... I'm sure there are ways to do it.

I picked this up an am enjoying it. Although I'm finding the difficulty moderate, rather than easy. But it probably is, as you say, potentially swingy. If you pull all your black early, you can have short inefficient turns which leads to the game spiraling out of control.
Regardless, the wife and I are enjoying it.

Don't get me wrong, it's definitely fun regardless of all that other stuff!

When will we see a freedom five review?

I reached out to the publisher, and they said they might send the retail version when it’s available

I agree with all the negatives yet I couldn't stop playing the game. Granted it helps that I didn't particularly focus on damage dealing so the game balance wasn't quite so lopsided. The core box does run out of steam eventually so I'm hoping for a content expansion that also contains balance changes for some of the scenarios. However, I'm not sure how well this game is doing, it's not talked about much..

They released a new scenario that is pretty fun on the Direwolf games app, if you didn't know about that. But yeah, not sure how well this one will have legs for expansions

Thanks for the review, the poor game balance makes this a pass for me, without your insight I might have ended up buying it and regretting it.
