With some people working in the arts, it is different: They may be great art analysers, art archive keepers, historians, lovers, teachers, technicians, re-assemblers, crafts*wo*men, dealers, directors, marketers, organizers, but they lack the creative character, daring, driving force, inspiration, intuition, Spark and way of living. To them it is more an aspiration or a cult or a means of income than a natural lifestyle. She is different, her artistic soul is deeper, she is artistic in every breath.
@@elfsieben1450 you hit the nail on the head. she's not afraid to step outside of convention to invent new things. to quote picasso she has learned the rules like a pro, and is breaking them as an artist in such way that isn't show off-ish or pretentious but because she's deeply concerned that many images and ideas have been missing. each of her films feels familiar but unlike anything i've ever seen. celine is an incredible artist.

Thanks for uploading this! This interviewer was by far the best one I have seen so far in terms of given Celine interesting questions to answer that were not just the same thing as others. The audience's questions were great as well. You can tell Celine was probably tired after a day of interviews (as she mentions) but yet her answers are always so thoughtful and honest.

Es ist bedauerlich, daß allem Anschein nach alles von Wert in englischer Sprache gesendet wird und nicht in der deutschen, obwohl daß ganze Gespräch ja offenbar in Hamburg geführt wurde. Seit wann gehört die deutsche Sprachgemeinschaft zu England?
Tut sie nicht. Verlangen, das ausländische Künstler*innen für ein Interview die deutsche Sprache lernen, ist aber auch nicht Sinn der Sache, oder? Wie das Filmfest Hamburg ihre Formate ausrichtet, entscheiden auch nicht wir, sondern das Filmfest. Eine andere Sprache zu lernen und zu verstehen hat aber auch noch niemandem geschadet. LG, T.
