As usual, bloody brilliant. Capt. Paul are you getting a South African accent ? I imagine 18% is a bloody good tip and I'm certain you all earned it. See you next week.
So pleased we were given a very brief glimpse of Marina Cay. When I was I guess 10, in 1965, my family spent ten days on the island. While we were there a NASA geologist was a fellow guest, working on plans for the moon landings. Every evening he would point out the few satellites that were then orbiting the earth. There were about 25 in orbit in total, now there are 25,000. Each day we would be taken by dingy to a different island and we would be left there for the day with a picnic, idyllic times. In 2004 I chartered a sailing yacht from Tortola and returned to Marina Cay and several of the other islands, the BVIs really are heaven on earth. I hope to repeat that experience again soon, wish it could be on Loon but so far the lottery gods have chosen not to favor me, something the size of your tender is rather more likely! Happy sailing Captain Paul and Crew, you really do have a fabulous 'product', well done.
What has happened to the Loon content? For the Mediterranean season it was epic. Guaranteed once a week content, sometimes 2 times a week. It was great nit was fun. It was a story. You hit the Caribbean and its never been the same. Patchy. Pointless. Lost the vibe and the story. Missing content. What has happened?
What a great video! Love seeing the guests enjoying themselves. What an amazing service the Loon team does for their clients, going ahead and making sure everything is set at the highest level off the yacht. Even when guests are leaving the crew sees them off as well. What a way to start the new year!!

Great video, all of you. Loon we can all see what a fantastic crew you are, good job Captain Paul keeping your team functioning like a very well oiled machine. Cheers Loon nice job Blair keeping us entertained with your brilliant Videos See you on the next one. Nina we had lunch yesterday just a stones through from the Cookery school.
I started Following Loon videos because of Nina the Crew Chef. Something has been bothering me about Capt. Paul from the first video. I felt like I knew him from somewhere. I played music for many years ( played drums with Charlie Sexton when he was 13) and have met people from all over the world. FINALLY I found the proof. If anyone would like to know what Capt. Paul does on his time off....check out the video by the 'Bee Gees' "Staying Alive". You will see Capt. Paul trying to hide his true identity. HA! Really enjoy the Loon videos. Fantastic crew.
Lmao, he does have an uncanny resemblance to the silver jacket guy (I think it's Barry Gibb?) on that music video! The Bee Gees are also Australian just like the good captain, so maybe they're a distant cousin of his!
Yes...Ha! I cracked up when I saw the Bee Gees video. I immediately thought of Capt. Paul. I think he is a dead ringer for Robin Gibb though. I can see Capt. Paul strutting around the yacht to "Staying Alive".@@Anolaana
Hi guys another interesting video! Nice to see some content involving the engineers & Crew we don’t see so much 😎👍🏻Captain Paul I love to see the level of professionalism you have with your crew without losing a sense of fun! It just gets better! If I had shed loads of cash I would definitely love to spend time onboard Loon😎❤️👍🏻
Wow, Paul, I’ve never been on a dive before and never been that excited about doing it but I am so psyched by how psyched you were at the start about doin* this specific dive. And so cool you can dive with the crew and the guests. Days like that you must all feel blessed to be do8ng your jobs.
That was a surprise thank you, love it when you guys get tips. Would have liked to have seen more of the dive but maybe later in another vid. Bless you all and stay focused!⚓️❤️⛴
Instrumentation question if I may, when you're in the central position of the bridge, there are 2 instruments in the ceiling, one appears to be a traditional magnetic compass, the other has a mirror attached, whats that for? Thanks
Working on one of these must be an incredible experience. Hiring or owning a yacht doesn't appeal to me but working on one, even just a repositioning sail would be unforgetable. I'm one of those people who are more interested in the ship itself than the luxury and service.

So 18% of what? M/V Loon advertises a week at winter rates of approx $600,000US plus expenses (food, drinks, etc). If so, that last charter seemed to be a week in the BVI. At 18%, that would be a tip of $108,000US. Divided by 16 crew, that works out to about $6,750US each. Even if my numbers are off by 50%, it would still be a great tip. These crews work their butts off in a high end industry! Kudos to them all no matter the tip.
Definitely going to strive to be like captain Paul when I get into the industry absolute top bloke and professional as love the vids Blair keep pumping out bangas

i have so enjoyed hearing the inside stories of Loon from the amazing crew who make it such a standout boat. but i am also curious since i have never seen guests in the videos: do you have a policy against showing them or has no charter party expressed any interest in being shown on the channel?
Awesome, expanded underwater footage... the reef system appreciates you removing more lionfisf lol. Great job by all and well done managing the APA. Hopefully there will be some footage of your two days down time and whatever you get up to. As always, look forward to the next vid drop!

High season charter is about a $1,000,000+ (with expenses). So 18% tip is $180,000+, so approx $9.4k tip person if divided equally among 9 crew. At least that's my estimate.
Love all the videos!! Keep them coming, I like seeing the inner working of the boat operation and life aboard. Quick question it seems like you always come in port at night, any specific reasons?
