My favorite part of the sequel is that Scott had the balls to remove the doors. The one thing that kept the animatronics out in the first game were up and gone, making the player feel MUCH less in control of the situation.
My favorite memory from the fandom during the pre-release time was a meme about fans giving criticism on certain elements and Scott saying "no problem I'll fix that in the sequel" and then someone saying the doors were annoying and him saying "ok, removing doors!"
That's what scared me so bad, your out in the open with over 5 robots, no cover or hiding place whatsoever. It's like being an explorer in a field of grass with a pack of VERY hungry wolves, no trees to hide behind no nothing
One thing that’s interesting is that even when it comes to the six night structure, there is a chaos to it. Night 6, which you’d think would just be a harder night 5, introduced a completely new animatronic to deal with: Golden Freddy. The game makes sure there is always something new to think about and I think that helps contribute to this games perfect blend of chaos
Golden Freddy is very well implemented for Night 6. If he appears in your room, you have to put on your mask and wait for him to disappear. If you flash the hallway before he disappears, you will die. He also doesn't block you from removing your mask unlike the other ones. Another interesting thing is that you don't have to put on your mask as quickly as possible. As long as you don't flash the hallway or pull up your monitor, you are safe. This directly contradicts your muscle memory to pull down the monitor, quickly put on and take off your freddy mask and flash the hallway because now you first have to wait for GF to disappear before flashing. His other mechanic is his head appearing in the hallway in front. If that happens you mustn't flash him too much otherwise you die. This of course directly contradicts your muscly memory of simply blindly flashing the hallway because if you see him, you quickly have to stop.
To expand on the conflicting mechanics, fnaf 2 has a sort of rock paper scissors element to it. To make sure you can't wear the freddy mask, Foxy isn't affected by it. To counter this, the game gives the ability to ward of Foxy with the flashlight, but THEN the game introduces Balloon Boy to counter the counter it gave you to counter its own counter to the mask. The puppet then acts as a reason to use the cameras, because otherwise you wouldn't require them to beat the game. The game introduces many mechanics along with ways to avoid or make them unusable in certain situations.
this reminds me of how in FNAF 1, Chica and Bonnie only attack you after you put your camera up if you let them come in, so of course one might think to just never use the camera so they can't attack, but that's countered by the fact that Freddy and Foxy can attack you when the Camera is down, not only is this the case, but using the Camera is also the method used to stop them from proceeeding, which thereby can leave you open to Bonnie or Chica while you're checking on Freddy and Stopping Foxy
You’ve probably heard this countless times now, but I really love your art style. The perfect amount of creepiness, uncanniness, and darkness. They’re so good.
The color scheme and partially the art style makes it feel like your mascot is straight out a child’s Halloween picture book. I haven’t seen anyone else able to pull of that style so well.
While Fnaf 1 was a major hit when it came out, Fnaf 2 was the fuse that led to such a huge explosion in popularity when it came out. Seriously, as someone who's been apart of the Fnaf series since 1, let me just say that Fnaf 2 had everyone HYPED when the trailer first came out.
I remember never being able to play FNAF 1 but when 2 came out and I heard it was gonna be on the iPad as well, I like begged my grandma to let me get it for the 5 dollars
I heard about 1 within the first two weeks from a friend and assumed it was about Freddy *Krueger,* then for some reason I read about it instead of just looking it up on TH-cam and I had this wild visual in my head of how it was gonna look. I read this overcomplicated guide (seriously, the gameplay's not that hard to explain!). Then I watched through it from this random crappy TH-camr, and I don't even remember what I thought about it but the facts that it was way simpler than I imagined and that I didn't enjoy the commentary much probably led me to not be super invested - and then there were the easter eggs I had never noticed, and then there was the theorizing, and *then* there was the Grand Re-opening teaser. And now we're here!
@@Falkuzrules That's funny considering how I had the same thought to when I first heard about Five Nights at Freddy's. At first, I thought that it was a horror game that took place at some kid's house you're sleeping at for an entire week.
FNaF 2 basically kickstarted the franchise and generate huge amounts of hype by confirming that there is indeed a franchise and greater story past the first game. So unlike One And Done games like Amnesia and Slender, FNaF kept putting out games quickly enough for the TH-cam algorithm and fanbase to have brand new mysteries and characters after "figuring out" each game.

I finally started playing the series myself this past month and just beat 2. My experience was pretty much a smooth ride till Bonnie choke slammed me repeatedly on night 5
Remember when the trailer dropped, dont remember my age around that time but i was a certain dread dripped over me while watching the trailer, definitely lived up to the hype, honestly the games kinda nostalgic to me still probably because of the animatronics and how iconic they are they have such unique designs. personal fave has to be withered bonnie
You're probably my favorite youtuber at the moment. You make high quality videos that have a unique style and are always creative and clever. You deserve to be much more popular than you currently are. Keep up the amazing work!
I’d also like to give the point of how night 5 actually feels In night 1 and 2 - it’s the toy animatronics In night 3 and 4 - it’s the withered animatronics, which act quite different from the first 2 nights Night 5 feels like a mix of all 4 nights, all of them come together in their difficulty, and it’s intimidating initially
I absolutely adore your videos. Even on games I've seen so many other videos on, you manage to bring really unique perspectives that I truly appreciate. Even at times where I don't fully agree with you, I can still understand your view on something because you explain it so well. Love Clyde too, he's a very nice addition.
Somebody else already mentioned it in the comments but I really do think your style is perfect for fanart of this series, or anything you've covered, really. Your art's like seeing an in-between frame of an animation of the rubber hose era, kinda uncanny in a surreal and fun way, keep up the great work. 👍

boy I love puppet so much. for multiple reasons, but regarding gameplay, because she's the fairest of them all. no randomness. no rng. the music box will inevitably go down, but at a steady pace. she poses a challenge because of the randomness of the other animatronics, who won't let you wind up the music box. puppet is my favorite animatronic
FNAF 2 has to be in everyone's top 3 games within the franchise. I love the challenging element to it, and the fact that you don't really have the time to focus on anything else during the later nights makes it more stressful and tense. While the environment was not as scary as the first game's, the gameplay itself was significantly better. One of my favorites, honestly.
@@OneMindReezy I respectfully disagree. The environment for pizzeria sim is terrifying to me. Not being able to see the animatronics until they're jumping, and screeching at you is also an extremely good, and scary gameplay element. Some may consider it lazy, but it makes it different from the rest of the games. Only the first night for sister location really scared me, so I can agree with the rest.
When playing this game "GENUINELY" as in using all its mechanics like the cameras this game is probably the hardest and it is FRUSTRATING 😡 but that’s good about the game! 😁

I think you did a great job using your character sprite in the right places! It’s entertaining to see the expressions change but not too much to distract from your excellent analysis of the game. Love your vids! :)
Oh my god. I love the new lil persona-character person that pops up on screen every now and then. Your art added with your video style make your videos so fun to watch and rewatch :D
First off, I'd like to say "You're Welcome!" I love hearing people talk about franchises like this because of how passionate they get about games I admit I won't play- because I am a wimp. To hear about atmosphere and gameplay mechanics is a lot of fun and I look forward to more of it.
I can't quite place it, but I fuck with this guy's aesthetic. I'm generally not all that interested in horror but the combination of the music, drawings, and character, not to mention pastra themselves make these videos both enjoyable and entertaining.
FNAF 2 has always been my favorite. I love the cast of characters, I love that you have ways to actually “fight off” the animatronics instead of just hiding behind a door and waiting for them to go away.
I would give Clyde a nice "tuck you in bed" style kiss on the forehead, but given their status as an amorphous two sentence horror creachure, I'm sure where it is or if they even really have one.
you’ve improved so much already! instead of having Clyde just cycle through a couple different animations somewhat rhythm-like you have him pop up in times that really make sense! love your work btw!

The content you put out is very high quality, I feel actually interested in your opinions. (I don’t really know this but it’s a hunch that the moon in your intro is taking inspiration from the moon in the beginning of the mysterious house.)
I absolutely how you go about explaining the reasons you enjoy and love these games. You have given me such a good perspective that I feel will help me stray talking about my love for games too. Keep up the great work man, you enjoy everything!
Honestly the second game has always really been my favorite, it's so well built, the chaos is, well, chaotic, but once you get used to it and learn and adapt then it becomes so fun, finding the balance of chaos and order
Personally,I think the appearance of an animatronic in fnaf 2 is one of the scariest, Seeing withered freddy for example in a tall hallway, yet barely fitting in it is so intimidating, alongside being face to face with something like withered bonnie, knowing that you could die any second.
I’m not the only one who wishes Pastra would use the intro for this video in every video right? The smiling moon and the ominous music would be perfect for every video!!
I think the randomness works for all of the game until you get to playing 10/20. It then turns on itself because the RNG paired with the insanely challenging speed of the animatronics leaves the success rate to be basically up to chance. Part of why I gave up on it. I guess I also have a gripe with the way the use of cameras is basically invalidated by night 5 due to the degrading quality of the music box. Don’t get me wrong- I love the game, but it doesn’t exist without serious flaws.
Based on this video talking about game mechanics a lot, I'd love to hear you talk about Ultimate Custom Night as I have been playing it a lot myself recently. I'm not exactly sure what you could talk about though, which could be a challenge, though it would be amazing if you managed to do so!
So it just dawned on me that I forgot to change the text in the "randomness" transition card. Hope you guys can forgive me for this horrible blunder.

Average Minecraft PNGtuber fan vs. average Clyde enjoyer
@@TheRealShatterGlass its really strange how someone will always find fault in something, no matter how... well, normal it is. (How do poses even qualify as cringy??)
I finally started playing the series myself this past month and just beat 2. My experience was pretty much a smooth ride till Bonnie choke slammed me repeatedly on night 5
Kinky.
@@king_poyo64 **rock eyebrow raise**
@@king_poyo64 oh my gaw bruh aw hell nah bruh
It's crazy going back to FNaF 2 (with both Markiplier and Pastra) and seeing all the obvious clues & easter eggs to the lore with context now
There is one thing that nobody can change my mind on.
Withered bonnie is the best animatronic in the series.
The design is just 💋
Imo Withered Chica is the scariest but I love Withered Bonnie too
Toilet Bonnie is the best 💯
We love withered Bonnie!❤
Toilet Bonnie superior
Remember when the trailer dropped, dont remember my age around that time but i was a certain dread dripped over me while watching the trailer, definitely lived up to the hype, honestly the games kinda nostalgic to me still probably because of the animatronics and how iconic they are they have such unique designs.
personal fave has to be withered bonnie
I remember being so hyped for that shit in 6th grade
Your art style kinda reminds me of a cheap Halloween decoration - its kooky, creepy, and overall pretty charming. Keep up the good work!
You're probably my favorite youtuber at the moment. You make high quality videos that have a unique style and are always creative and clever. You deserve to be much more popular than you currently are. Keep up the amazing work!
I’d also like to give the point of how night 5 actually feels
In night 1 and 2 - it’s the toy animatronics
In night 3 and 4 - it’s the withered animatronics, which act quite different from the first 2 nights
Night 5 feels like a mix of all 4 nights, all of them come together in their difficulty, and it’s intimidating initially
Then the 6th night introduces GF (I know that he can appear earlier, he's just alot more common in night 6)
"Hectic Hellscape" is an incredibly succinct way to describe FNaF 2 tbh
Jokes aside, your content is marvellous!
I absolutely adore your videos. Even on games I've seen so many other videos on, you manage to bring really unique perspectives that I truly appreciate. Even at times where I don't fully agree with you, I can still understand your view on something because you explain it so well. Love Clyde too, he's a very nice addition.
Fnaf 2 was fnaf 1 on steroids
Edit : Also love the avatar. So much to look at without distracting from the main discussion
I can't stop imagining buff Freddy now
Somebody else already mentioned it in the comments but I really do think your style is perfect for fanart of this series, or anything you've covered, really. Your art's like seeing an in-between frame of an animation of the rubber hose era, kinda uncanny in a surreal and fun way, keep up the great work. 👍
i know that ya probably saw this a thousand times over now, but man, your artstyle is insane. looks like a children horror book type of style. i dig it so hard.
your commentaries are clever, and well built. like dude. they don't make it like that anymore, i'm tellin' ya. this is awesome. earned a new subscriber, keep it up folk.
boy I love puppet so much. for multiple reasons, but regarding gameplay, because she's the fairest of them all. no randomness. no rng. the music box will inevitably go down, but at a steady pace. she poses a challenge because of the randomness of the other animatronics, who won't let you wind up the music box. puppet is my favorite animatronic
Not really a fan of FNAF but hearing passionate discussions of the games is always enjoyable to watch
man this sounds out of no where but i adore your little orange hoodie monster character, it looks so cool and i cant get enough of it
You are the most talented TH-camr I’ve come upon in a while. I love your videos and hope you get the audience you deserve.
I meann 5, SB, and 6 are average at best
@@OneMindReezy I respectfully disagree. The environment for pizzeria sim is terrifying to me. Not being able to see the animatronics until they're jumping, and screeching at you is also an extremely good, and scary gameplay element. Some may consider it lazy, but it makes it different from the rest of the games. Only the first night for sister location really scared me, so I can agree with the rest.
@@jokuh2286 that’s fair but the jumpscares are terrible and the gameplay when it comes to the monitor and the two vents is kinda dull
When playing this game "GENUINELY" as in using all its mechanics like the cameras this game is probably the hardest and it is FRUSTRATING 😡 but that’s good about the game! 😁
Well I only pretty much use the vent cameras and the music box camera
@@cbandit7715 yea
just wanted to say how much i adore your character, their expressions and poses are super dynamic and have so much personality within all of them! i also love their lanky, creepy design and i think it’s super cool how their creepiness juxtaposes your pleasant commentary, it’s such a cool design overall
I love your commantery and how you pick apart the game to criticize and just talk about the game and it's mechanics really well said
Pastra is great at analyzing fnaf games and he does it in a way that you can't hate. You are an amazing fnaftuber, keep up the great work
I would give Clyde a nice "tuck you in bed" style kiss on the forehead, but given their status as an amorphous two sentence horror creachure, I'm sure where it is or if they even really have one.
I bet he gives good hugs
you’ve improved so much already! instead of having Clyde just cycle through a couple different animations somewhat rhythm-like you have him pop up in times that really make sense! love your work btw!
It may not be that big of a thing but i think the flashlight being disabled randomly also really helps the chaotic atmosphere
dude i honest to god think you are my favorite channel on youtube i just really love your voice, your opinions are well based and the aesthetics are immaculate, i love the new art btw so keep up the good work just really- so good bruh i would listen to ur opinions on any game really
Can I just say I absolutely adore your art style! It's so natural and almost goofy with it's horror and proportions! I also love seeing different takes on how the characters look it's so refreshing
Loving these videos; thanks for all the great content!
I think your character popping in every now and again with little expressions that match what your saying works really well, very nice and charming :)
I find Fnaf 2 so repetitive, but fun.
I think I like you content the most out of the horror TH-camrs I watch. You’re not trying to scare the viewer or put on a show, you’re just talking about something you enjoy, and I like that a lot. Keep up the good work man!
Holy shoot, love how frequent the uploads are but please don't burn yourself out lol!!
Im honetsly not the biggest FNAF fan but you came up in my recommended when SB came out. Glad I found your channel, I enjoy listening to you talk
Pastra has become my favourite TH-cam channel. Every drawn image is perfect, and all the voiceover parts are written expertly.
Dude's looking like he fell on a plate of half-burned spag this one time and then just went and made his caracter a lovecraftian horror out of it. I can respect that
I love how when you get jumpscared by the puppet you just don't react to it
God I love your character stills and intro!
Your productivity while still being able to deliver such good analysis are almost as scary as the cool artstyle of your vids. The channel is definitely going places!
I cant lie, I would get all of Pastra's thumbnails as tattoos. They're so good bro...
Your art style, you explicitly, your narrative, you are everything I want from a TH-camr
You have become one of my favorite TH-camrs in a matter of days, I was so lucky to be recommended your channel and have enjoyed every video
God, your thumbnails and character are amazing! Keep up the amazing work man.
Your art is extremely impressive. I love your character, it sets you apart so much from most other PNG TH-camrs. I also love your opinions on all the thing's you've covered so far and greatly agree with them. You are everything any other PNG YTer ever wanted to be.
In my opinion fnaf 2 was my favourite!!!
And btw Love the new intro it looks AMAZING!!!!!!
Man, I really like your character, looks terrifying!
I love how organic you make your animatronics look, makes it super unique and spooky-ish
I think what gets you so popular is the art of your thumbnails
Man the quality of you videos just keeps getting better and better, and yea there was one small error but great job :D
Another note is that in the sister location trailer, fnaf 2 was labeled as "Panic"
Talking about D&D and then later saying it sucks to have luck determining your success is comedy gold. But seriously great video though 👍
Anyone who played fnaf 1 and then turned to fnaf 2 would start freaking out when they found out that there are no doors and extra jobs
been watching your videos for a little bit, i love your voice, its really nice to listen to while im drawing, or just watch the video by itself. your art is super creepy, and i love that about it! super cool style! your channel mascot is also really creative, i love his design. i just thought that id say a few things about your channel that i like!
-sincerely, a loving fan :D
keep up the great work, pastra! and dont be afraid to ever take a break if you need one :)
I love your spooky asymmetrical 'sona and the way his appearances just does _not_ mesh with your voice. The way he emotes is also just... great.
Your artstyle is creepy af but still pleasing to look at. Loving the new intro!
Love his channel + Love this artstyle
God fnaf 2 is so good.
By far my favorite. It was the one that really kicked off that whole lore thing.
lmao I JUST superscribed to this channel and then almost IMMEDIATELY there's a new upload
Personally I'm not the biggest fan of the music box mechanic but it definitely has purpose and does add to the chaotic stress of it all.
Another amazing video and I love the way you drew Withered Bonnie for the thumbnail!
withered animatronics supremecy, they've been my favorite ever since the trailer
I didn’t expect another video so quickly
playing fnaf 2 in vr was so damn terrifying to me even on night 1
Your art is beyond amazing!!
Personally,I think the appearance of an animatronic in fnaf 2 is one of the scariest,
Seeing withered freddy for example in a tall hallway, yet barely fitting in it is so intimidating, alongside being face to face with something like withered bonnie, knowing that you could die any second.
Great job Pastra! Great to see the intro card/animation thingy being used!
For me, FNaF 2 was chaotic and fun at the same time.
pastra: "he succeded in making the most chaotic game imaginible"
fnaf ucn: "am i a joke to you?"
it's been difficult to be scared in the game anymore with how this game was drowned under so many layers of ironic memes
@yuusuf jama yeah when I get jumpscared on later nights instead of feeling scared I just feel super annoyed
The quality of these have increased like hell
Based on this video talking about game mechanics a lot, I'd love to hear you talk about Ultimate Custom Night as I have been playing it a lot myself recently. I'm not exactly sure what you could talk about though, which could be a challenge, though it would be amazing if you managed to do so!
These videos are awesome! Also, i love your art style!
You seem to really like putting creepy rabbits in the thumbnail huh. Cool
I'm a sucker for rabbit animatronics lmao
I remember watching this and thinking “underrated channel, awesome oc” and such, it’s been so fun seeing’s how you’ve grown as a creator.
(Maybe) Unpopular opinion: FNAF 2 Golden Freddy mode is more chaotic than 50/20 mode
I absolutely LOVE your avatar design. It looks like pure chaos trapped in a hoodie and I love it
