Ok people lets break this down. Pumping gas with the car on is 50/50. Some gas stations require you to have your car off. Some states require you to have it off too. Now for your car tho. It depends, i think its cars past the early 90s? It doesnt really matter. However for most older vehicles like a big body classic you'll definitely want to have it off, something about the way the fuel system is routed or something that itll ignite and explode. But some gas stations suck. Have you noticed a bit of leakage or strong smell from the pump before you even use it? A sketchy ass gas station that looks like it hasn't been inspected? Yea thats a factor too. Anyways zosh is fine his car is new enough but definitely be careful as there are times where bluetooth connections can spark and ignite, or things like taking the pump out too fast can cause a spark while the car is on.

just gotta know your car, you typically don't want to bounce rev limiter but you can shift at redline in any gear. I have a 9th gen si so i don't do 1st gear pulls bc i know i'll grind 2nd.
