My grandmother loved to knit - she passed away 2 weeks after I told her I was pregnant, and I was able to make this adorable romper in her honor for my baby thanks to your video. Thank you so much!
I followed your tutorial and I made a romper! I've never knitted before so I didn't want it to be overwhelming, so I made it for a doll! It's tiny and not quite right in some places but I did it!! Thank you for the great video.
How amazing! Thank you so much for the positive feedback, I'm so glad you enjoyed it 🤗 If you have an Instagram account I'd love to see your finished romper, you could send me a photo at @peekabooknitting 😊 Keep knitting 💪🏼❤
Thank you, thank you, thank you for this pattern and video!! I’ve only been knitting about a year and I was able to make this adorable romper for my nephew, arriving next week! I cannot wait to see him in it 💗
I just found you last night and I’m almost done with the back of my romper! Your instructions are so easy to follow! And I looked through your blog and want to make everything now! Thank you for putting this content out!
I also love that you wrote the pattern with how many centimeters it needs to be and not just how many rows it needs to be because I used a thicker yarn and bigger needles than you did.
Thank you so much I am so happy you could make it!! Thank you for your lovely comment it means the world! I sometimes wonder why I make these videos when I receive nothing in exchange, but just to know I help someone out and get nice feedback encourages me to carry on!! 🥰🥰
Hi. Have knitted several of this romper. It’s gorgeous !! Have mad a couple of the nappy cover too. Get so many compliments because they’re really different! Are you going to design any more for us??? PLEASE !!!
Hi! Thank you so much for your lovely comment and feedback, I'm so glad you've enjoyed the pattern! I'd love to design more bits but I'm currently in my third trimester of pregnancy and feeling quite uninspired... 😅 I start and then never finish pieces. Is there anything that really stands out you'd like to see? Let me know and I'll try my best! 😉😉
Thank you for these videos. I enjoy knitting baby items the most! It seems like you do too. I have a question. I like #4 worsted weight yarn the most and size 5mm needles. Do you think the baby booties and this jumper would work with them?Blessings to you 🤓
Did you try making it with the worsted weight yarn? I would love to make it, but just cant find the yarn she suggested... And I did not see her reply to you. Thanks John 3:17
Hi! Congrats on your pattern and the way you explain! I'm knitting the romper for a new born and am stuck on the front. Have finished the 4 buttonholes but have not yet reached the top of the waistband (of the back). Have knitted 10.5cm from 1st buttonhole. What should I do?
Hi! I'm so happy you like it! I'm not sure if I'm understanding you correctly... If you want send me a DM on Instagram or an email with photos and I'll try and help 😅 Maybe your yarn is thinner than mine? Maybe you should add another buttonhole? I'm not sure 😕
Hello, what a fun pattern! Thank you for sharing that free of charge with all of us. I just don't seem to find the printer version of it as you are using in the video.
Sorry for my late response! If you click next to the title of the video there is a arrow down that opens "video description" and there, there's a link to all my written patterns for free on my blog 🤗
Love the pattern and thank you for making this! Just a suggestion for any other videos I’m a total beginner and it was very hard to follow. A little too fast and the camera wasn’t showing your hands for a lot of the main parts.
So glad you enjoyed it and thank you for the feedback, it is pretty tricky multitasking but I must agree, it is quite difficult to follow as I keep going in and out of shot. This was my first ever video so hopefully I am improving since then 🤞🏻 Thanks again!
Do you slip the first stitch on every row? If so, on the first stitch of each row wouldn’t you only knit1 then purl2 then continue on knitting 2 and purling 2? Also, for the ribbing are you always knitting the knit stitches and purling the purl stitches? Thanks for your help! This is super cute!
Sorry for my late reply, I've only just seen your comment! The slipping of the stitch is completely optional. Personally, I think it gives it a neater edge and makes sewing up a lot easier! I say "knit 2" but I actually do mean what you are saying (slip 1, knit 1) and yes again, to create rib we knit the knit stitches and purl the purl stitches. So happy you like it!
Did you do another video on how to make this....I really love it....but it is difficult following you...I read the comments and you mentioned it was your first video....and you would do it again if so please let me know. I love it and thank you for all your efforts. PS can this be make with #4worsted?
Sorry I haven't filmed a video in a long time... I will add it to the list and film again no problem 😊 and you can use any 4ply cotton yarn or any yarn for 3mm needles if you have that available near you 🤗 hope this is helpful to you
Hi ur pattern is too good. One question can I use the same measurement n techniques n crochet the dress as I don't know knitting. Please reply as I want to start this pattern.
Hi! great job it´s gorgeous! I want to ask you, I bought a pattern from etsy but I think its a little complicated for me there some parts I just don´t get. Can I send it to you and can you make it a tutorial pretty please with cherries on top?
Hi, you would be knitting 3-6 months then, it depends on the thickness of your yarn but you should need approx. 75sts if you are using cotton similar to mine 🤗 good luck!
Hi, I didn't cast off the whole back on my romper, instead I put the strap stitches on hold at one side, cast off the stitches in the centre and knit the other strap until the desired length before rejoining the strap on hold and knitting that (I hope I am explaining this so it's understandable 😅) on the other hand, you could just knit them separate and sew them in position afterwards 🤷🏼♀️ whatever works best for you 😄 good luck! 💪🏼🥰
Hi hunni, i have done my first decrease row and video says to carry on knitting normally with out decreasing, but then goes onto saying carry on decreasing until 7cm of stitches remain, i am confused?
Hiii, sorry this is because you decrease on one row, don't decrease on the next and repeat that sequence. Always decrease on the right side row of the work. Hope this helps!
Thank you! I will do another video explaining it better but if you follow my instructions it is easy to work out how many stitches you need according to your cm. I'll try and get a video up soon explaining it again
Cotton wool confuses persons on the USA. Wool is a word for yarn, no matter what it is made off in some countries and regions. When she says wool, USA persons should think yarn.
You can find the written pattern by clicking the Title of this video and in the description that appears below you click read more and the link appears in blue 😉 hope you find it helpful 🙏🏻
I give the cm and how to calculate said cm all because depending on your yarn, it will be a different thickness to mine therefore need a different amount of stitches. I hope you understand ☺
You've got this 💪🏼 you knit 3 stitches, yarn over (just pass yarn over the top of your needle needle keep it to the right - creating an extra stitch) and then knit two stitches together (knit like a normal stitch but putting your needle through 2 stitches at the same time) Hope this helped 🤞🏼😊
@@peekabooknitting Thank you...I'm going to attempt again this evening. I can do the steps on the 5th row, but for some reason when I k2p2 on the 6th row I only get one buttonhole 🤦🏻♀️. What is gauge for rows in 5cm and is it in garter ?
Do we need the gauge for this pattern
It is better if you work out your gauge but if you are using the same ply cotton and needle sizes as me it should be ok

But I wonder if too much buttons can be uncomfortable for the baby.
As it's a very stretchy material I don't think this is a problem
No idea how to calculate 6-9mths 24cm into stitches please help
You first have to calculate how many stitches you need for X cm of work and then calculate it from there
Love the romper. What is the weight of the yarn?
Thank you so much!! It is 100grams of 100% cotton wool!
Its cotton for 2.5-3.5mm needles
