So thrilled with your video. I am about to cast on the vest and had already been planning to add length to the ribbing, tighten up on ease, etc. Such a boon to have such a knowledgeable (virtual) knitting pal to be in conversation with.
I wasn't sure about prchasing this pattern from Andrea Mowry (lord knows I probably have 30 of her patterns purchased and printed out just waiting for yarn inspiration), but seeing your vest convinced me I need this one as well. Especially as I live in Southern California and am always looking for yarns or patterns that are wearable more than just one month out of the year. The vest fits the bill. Thanks for helping me make up my mind that this is a must have. Wish I was going to Rhinebeck (I've never been) but this year I'm going to the knitting retreat with The Farmer's Daughter Fibers in October and the vest will definitely make the trip with me.

Those colours are sooo luscious! I recently treated myself to one precious skein of Ghost Ranch, and ooooh girl yours looks so much moodier indeed. Great FO. Outstanding!
SOLD! U could even wear it inside out. The wraps r perfect. The colors r 😘. Ur eye 4 colors is superb. Great talent! Now besides ur energy I want ur color palette eye. 😊 Thanks for sharing.

Your vest is gorgeous and looks great on you! I really like your long ribbing mod. And your tip on color managing on the yoke is so helpful. I’m planning to buy some DITW to cast on the pullover and it’ll be my first time working with Spincycle. I’m excited!
Looks amazing! I’m confused about the lace weight yarn, though. Can you just use a 3rd Sport or Fingering weight yarn instead? I’ve never really been into extra fuzz. Looking at her substitute list is just other fuzzy yarns. Maybe she addresses that in the pattern?
love your color choices! i ordered my yarn earlier today and cant wait for it to arrive. Did you need additional yarn than what was recommended with your modifications? or where you able to manage it with the same number of skeins? I am also 5'8 and usually need to extend the body a bit with her patterns 😅
I didn’t use a lot more but she may have adjusted yardage since the testers gave feedback. I’m not sure what size you’re making but I’d see how close to a full skein you are for your size
Beautiful pattern, and inspired colour choices! I have a newbie knitter question: is it possible to sub plant fibre yarn in a pattern with negative ease, or is that just asking for trouble? If I tried it, I’d work to get to gauge, and then size up.

You could sub a fingering weight in but I’d swatch 😉
I absolutely love your color choice out of curiosity. Do you think you could get away without doing the fuzzy yarn? And only used 2 colors?
The way the pattern is written it’s a 6 row repeat that you need 3 yarns for but you can sub a fingering weight

I think you could do a yarn blend of wool and plant fibers tho honestly colorwork with plant fibers isn’t ideal in my opinion
