Our loved ones who have passed over work very hard to send us messages from the other side letting us know they are still with us and love us. This life and the life after are about loving. Does anyone else wonder if he's really talking to her father-in-law why does he have to ask her who passed in tragedy recently? Wouldn't the deceased properly identify themselves? Why did he have to ask if he had stomach cancer and not tell her? Why didn't he say anything specific about his medical condition until after Kristina confirmed this. Seems like most of what he described would apply to anyone with stomach cancer. Example: Indigestion is a common misdiagnosis for cancer as well as heart disease.
I just wonder why her father-in-law would spend so much time talking about his medical problems if this is his one chance to talk to a family member. They both know how he died. Seems like a waste of a valuable opportunity to discuss something more important or specific. Why didn't he mention anything about his personality, hobbies, career, regrets, memories or apologies he didn't get to make? Surely if he's watching over her he would have advice to give that would benefit her or perhaps a message to his son. And why did Matt say Papa only to change it to Po Po after he was corrected? Also, he was wrong about not making it to surgery. Kristina corrected that as well. What happened there?
The statements are vague and when he says something specific it's in question form. Who passed in a recent tragedy? Did he have stomach cancer? Did you sell or get rid of his car? It's up to Kristina to find a connection then Matt confirms after the fact, "yes that's what he's telling me." Of course she would be there for her husband when his father passed. All of this is obvious stuff that we all do when we lose someone. Kristina please don't let this "reading" distort your memory of you loved one and consider this: Was any of this proof he actually spoke to your father-in-law?
New England's Insomniac Theatre I attended a live reading with Matt last night in Los Angeles at the Marriott hotel. When he asks those questions those are specific questions. What if he asked “did he have thyroid cancer?” The obvious answer would be “no” and he would be wrong. It’s a way to confirm that’s he’s contacting someone close to her.
When I saw the live reading he would walk up to specific people and say “your mother passed”, “your father passed”, or he would say specific details.
Believe what you like, but after seeing him live I don’t doubt his abilities.

They say no, then he changes it to, I feel like it's a mother figure, who's the older female presence that's coming forward? Then the person says, my grandmother, aunt, mother-in- law etc, and the completely forget that he ever asked about a mom. Then he moves on with the reading. It's worth taking a guess when you have an out to fall back on. He's also making high probability guesses from doing this so long. An older women most likely is seeing him to contact a mother or older female, so why not take a guess?
I've watched plenty of his videos and hear him every year on WAAF in Boston. He never names illnesses. Its always, who's the person that passed of cancer? Then the person says specifically, thyroid cancer and who that person is. He starts vague and waits for the person to fill in the specifics, then builds his "reading" off of that information.
Some people are just so close minded. If you doubt his abilities why not attend one of his events or book a reading and try to prove him wrong? He deals with skeptics such as yourself all the time

It's because when one connects with spirit, they get ideas, images and random information and spirit wants the medium to say it in certain ways and in certain orders. Spirit doesnt literally stand there and talk to him, that's just how he's conveying it. Also, different mediums see spirits differently as well. It's not a one fit all box, but Matt is gifted in putting together signs, sounds, feelings, images etc to have a coherent conversation with the person the deceased wants to send a message to. Spirit will only have certain main messages they want to send out. Spirits also follow God and we are not supposed to know every detail about spirit or the afterlife, only what we are supposed to know. To answer your question about why sometimes it's hard to pinpoint if it's a mother or not, Matt sees the spirit as a mother like figure to the person, it doesnt HAVE to be their actual mom in real life, but it's their way of acknowledging that they viewed themselves as a mother figure in the physical world. All stupid stuff about how they supposedly passed. That's all he says, and he never says what the deceased look like.
