I got one for about $120 on sale. I actually really like it for my use downstairs as I have a pretty intricate mix of carpet, large area rugs, and hard floor.
Hi I' do professional carpet cleaning. You seem very straight up and know your stuff. What would you recommend for my use in homes. To achieve the great suction, coverage and versatility
If you're looking for a vacuum to pre vacuum before you carpet clean? The SEBO G4 /G5 and any of the Lindhuas uprights should be on the top of your list.
This Kenmore seems to have too much cheap plastic, but at least it's bagged. I have tested the airflow and suction when the hepa bag is full and performance loss is very small. My Miele C3 did fantastically in that test. Those bags are amazing. I really can't undenstand why people keep buying bagless vacuums. My parents are great "test bench" for vacuums. They are very demanding. They hated my Shark NV340 upright. Too much maintenance & loud. They have always used bagged canisters. I remember how they bought brand new Miele canister in the 80's. Now I finally gave them my Sebo K1 Airbelt and now they absolutely love it.
I have one of these and I'm happy about the quality to price ratio. I live in a 3 bedroom apartment in a huge old home with hardwood and rugs. My wife has long hair and we have a bull dog with white hair. It performs well. The lift up is handy in certain situations like the rug lined stairs in the hallway. I could see the longevity and repairs being an issue in the future but I just can't afford dropping $600 on a Miele right now.
On the Cleva UK website this is sold as the Vacmaster Captura Upright Vacuum Cleaner. Not sure if that means Cleva still built it or if they rebranded a modified Shark. The MSRP is also close to the deep discount sale prices here.
People complain about your videos I love your videos your a vacuum technician you've been fixing vacuums for how many years you know what you're talking about
Interesting that you didn't show where all that pet hair came from. Every brush vac that I've owned had to be cleaned of hair. I don't own this, but researching as a possible. I just don't think you like it. Very biased.
Why on earth would he be biased against a cheap bagged machine? They are a dying breed... if anything we need more on the market at it SUCKS these aren’t all that great. He also stated several times in the vid he didn’t like it... wtf lol
@@PerformanceReviews I guess I'm glad you like them because I find they have too many seams that I feel for me. I am going to try Propper ones as Haggar ones don't hold up very well.
If you can grab this for 100 it's a solid buy imo, bagged unit with acceptable pickup. If you're spending 100 you're obviously not getting a sebo or a miele that you'll keep for 2 decades. The other thing is if you spend a bit more the Hoover windtunnel t series bagged is fantastic. Dunno how these compare in cost and value but something to keep in mind. In Canada we get ludacris pricing for those hoovers. Looking at close to 300 CAD which is a shame. Cause at US pricing it's soooo appealing.
You are absolutely correct Kenmore is not the same as what it used to be I remember as a kid my mom and dad had a Kenmore upright it was called the power ease self-propelled upright from 1977. It was blue white with like that wood grain on the headlight and that thing lasted for 15 years until the motor burnt out. And this upright had two Motors it actually had its own motor for the self-propelled mechanism and its own motor for the suction and brush roll Siri now that thing was amazing
if it had a height ajustment and a hammer style power-head that was a tad wider it would really have something... still looks like a decent machine be cool to find . lame doesn't have a power lift away lame the cord hook is on the hose HATE THAT
@@PerformanceReviews I've been poring videos and vacuum stats for weeks. I really wanted to get this Hoover. My last one lasted 25 years (and only because it seems you can't get a replacement fan anymore 😭) But I've got mostly hard floors and Hoover sadly got rid of the on/off brush roll feature. The extension wand regularly collapses mid-use, and it's loud. So now it looks like I'm stuck with the Intuition at the top of my list (though a newer model 4050 with anti-hair wrap) - unless you can suggest any other sub $200 usd bagged uprights? I was also annoyed about the small, very expensive Kenmore bags, but after tracking down some details it turns out that their real world capacity is actually slightly more than the Hoover Y bags. So that's at least one good thing. The real problem here is that there are virtually no affordable, bagged, uprights left on the market.
Odors and gases pass through Hepa filtration. The carbon absorbs odors so the vacuum doesn’t smell as bad. Hepa filters only catch 0.3 microns and larger.
Bagged vacuums are definitely better. Just not this⬆️ one in the video. Consider something on my recommended list here. th-cam.com/play/PLiENBcs2au1a1nUTPHKq2VwqNUSojcObi.html
@@PerformanceReviews uh.. Okay? That seems counter intuitive? And more expensive... And time consuming waiting on a replacement to be shipped when I could just change a belt
Well, fuck. I was about to pull the trigger on a Hoover uh30600 on Amazon for $170 but then I bought this Kenmore bu4022 instead... It's supposed to show up tomorrow and I NEED a vacuum asap. Moved into a new house and left my old pos Shark 1500 miles away at the old place.... This thing has to be better than the cheapest bagless Shark, right?
Curious about your experience with this vac . . . I just got mine a month ago and love it. Using it professionally in my carpet-cleaning business now. Paid $180 for it and think it's worth every penny, has great suction, dual-motor, great indicators for bag fill, brushroll condition, etc.. One of my customers tried it out the other day and enjoyed using it so much I could barely get it back from her!
3:00 "Less machines in a landfill" I 💯agree with that sentiment. You are *_NOT_* "saving the planet" if every 1-½ years you're throwing stuff into a landfill !!! Buy quality, and it'll last for DECADES.
1:30 too graphic for TH-cam lol In all seriousness this would be an ok vac if it was for 99 dollars. 200 dollars is too much for what you're getting. And I question the serviceability and reliability since sharks don't want you to fix their vacuums and rather you get a new one so I wonder if it going to be the same with the kenmore.
I have a bit of a story about shark vacuum parts, my grandma had a Shark Navigator and it needed a new belt. I looked all over the internet and couldn’t find a belt that was supplied by Shark. A few months later, she gave up on the Navigator and threw it away just so she could get yet another disposable Shark. I even tried to tell her to get a Sebo and she got the Shark even after the Shark broke. It doesn’t make any sense.
14:15 I bought this vacuum a few months ago on sale for $100 and I had the same experience of it just tangling so much with pet hair getting stuck/ tangled on the roller after only one or two uses. (It also left a ton of pet hair on my carpet that it just couldn't pick up) I really wanted to love this vacuum and thought maybe I got a dud because the reviews were so good on it. However, I think this video proves that his vacuum is no winner! I ended up returning it as defective. I picked up a cheap $56 Bissell Power Force bagged upright from Walmart so I would have something to use in the meantime while I did more research. I gotta say that the Bissell performed better than this Kenmore Intitution - which is sad when you think about the price it normally sells for. Seems like Kenmore is ripping people off.
Throw in some cleanfairy synthetic hepa bags on your powerforce and for that cost it's fucking great imo. 56 plus 20 for 20 bags and you'll be laughing for that price point it'll get you by.
They could have really had something here. Sad it didn’t really take form. Even for $100 I’d have a hard time justifying the purchase. It’s like a bagged shark navigator... 😑
People think I just hate garbage bagless machines, No, I also hate garbage bagged machines like this too.
You're right cheap machines are cheap machines
I agree
As the saying goes, "Buy cheap, buy twice"👌a cheap vac simply won't last like a quality one will 👍

Walmarts were blowing these things out as cheap as $70-100. Not bad at that pricepoint IMO.
100 percent agree, at that price it's a nice buy for someone on a budget who needs a vac asap.

Yeah he's very shady and highly obnoxious. I don't mind the snarkiness actually, but he's clearly biased which INTUITIVELY makes me not trust him. Lol
Watching this review was like watching the black and white portion of an informercial but it never ends.
🤣😂 That's literally how this machine was to use. There are definitely better vacuum cleaners out there.

Nope. It's talked about in the beginning on the video.
