Again you’re right that’s exactly how they have to do it just like we do I water towers today we looked them up really high in the weight of the water creates the pressure that you need without using pumps are you have to do is use the pumps to get them in the tanks that’s it the rest it’s just gravity fed that’s exactly what they’re doing so if you look at the elevations of any place for the storage and water it should be higher than everything else around it or it wouldn’t work now I’m sure there are areas where you still have to use some type of pumps at other ends like at the end of the loop like they do in towns today because the pressure does drop I am in the used pumps in other areas but the initial areas were there closer to the reserves it’s definitely the pressure of the water because it’s above everything else if that made any sense to you I’ve been doing construction a long time I know that’s exactly how it’s workingSo it be interesting to find out what the true elevations of the bottom of these tanks were and then you can go from there to find out how it was being used if that helps you
I like it when Dustin uses "gravy" in his conversations. :-) Rather than urging him to conform to the way the rest of us talk, I think we should encourage it instead, things like this are what make us unique and interesting to others!!! Dennis Eckersley is a Boston Red Sox baseball announcer, and he has a whole bunch of his own baseball terminology that nobody else uses, he basically just made up his own words... and even tho it makes listeners scratch their heads sometimes, its also kind of like a calling card for him. (Dennis calls it "a pair of shoes" when a batter takes a called third strike without swinging at the pitch, or when a pitcher throws a hard fastball, he says the ball "had hair", it's all quite comical and laugh-out-loud funny, we love Eck!!)
Well, gravy is used to mask, hide, conceal spoiled food and fill the bellies of poor with empty calories and 0 nutrition. I see the parallel between mudflood and gravy, both have the same function.
