    Damn
    Bruce and the Range
Ry Cooder and GD triple bill and they still talk about it in mocking tone. This is top shelf musicality here

I was there, mostly, both years. Still think about those weekends occasionally. obviously. And to the couple in the tent near the main entrance where I tossed my keys into, high, impulsively, what seemed like a perfectly smart thing to do at that exuberant time, and who found me head abd torso in legs out of said tent, stuck, wanting my keys after leaving set two midway because I couldn't outwit a zipper.............I apologize and thank you. I dont know how to unjam zipper jams but I guess you figuref something out........Imagine being stuck at a rapidly clearing out sand duned Laguna Seca, no car keys, hungry thirsty tired and your only hope is to get a locksmith out there at 7pm on a Sunday. Maybe the crew thought ahead and their was somebody on the scene because its inevitable. Can a locksmith whip out an ignition key for a 68 VW without the original? No matter, keys were recovered from the tent. And then I was chased away. Los Lobos Lindley and Cooder were all great openers too

It was hot, but a lot of great music. For many, Ry Cooder was the high point. This was the show where the promotional film of Touch of Grey was filmed after on of the shows at night before a lucky crowd. Thanks to Bill Graham and his company.

Sociologists did take note and there was a whole group of kids that used to go on tour and they got college credits for it I believe it was Duke University in North Carolina they were camped next to me at deer Creek one year and I was blown away that these kids are all getting college credit for going to dead shows and doing acid lol
