this game was alright..Not as good as mma games in the longevity of the fun factor. Sure boxing is fun for a few goes then after that I get bored. To each their own , for sure...I prefer MMA games.
You should try victorious boxers 2. It has the anime art style due to being based on one, but the footwork is unmatched so far in a boxing sim. You can actually walk around the opponent, like get behind them, or on the side on them.....much like Lomachenko. I have a video about the game's footwork on my channel.
Round 3 is the absolute! Especially using the fight stick. Round 4 and champs killed the fight stick. And killed the game with it. Champions the punches sound like a rubber ball hitting a wall lmao

FN CHAMPION is clearly the best FightNight and Boxing game ever. Just my 2 cents i realize now it may be slow and did something that changed the game for me. NOT chaging individual Boxers but go to Settings and change the Spped tick. i change it up 2 and that changed the game completely. gald i also downloaded bunch of boxers before they shut down servers. I still play this shit weekly along with UFC3

I think this game is flawed and missing so much though. Body shots are completely irrelevant, they do nothing. Blocking covering both head and body is boring and means there’s very little skill gap. Straight punches are overpowered, uppercuts are useless

I love being able to control hand placement on defense that round 3 has and ofcourse the smaller weight roster is better but the higher weight plus dlc for heavyweight is amazing in champion. If champion had that one detail of hand placement it would be the best real fighting game out there. Thats where ufc 4 comes in. I think champion is better than ufc 3 in mechanics but ufc has an updated roster. Im still very new to ufc 4 as i loved ufc 3 and i finally stubbornly let it go lol.
The sad part is I hate to break it to you but the developers who worked at ea when this game was made probably don’t work for them now in 2021 it’s ashame cause I would of loved to see what they could do graphics wise with today’s consoles like you said we just have to hope an prey at this point
Fight Night Champion was the first game that made me have an actual difficult challenge and take the final boss seriously against Isaac Frost. The best sports game period IMO.
The story mode made me feel like I was watching anime in a good way Watching Andre grow and mature as a fighter and person as he moves up through the ranks of middleweight and then heavyweight was great to experience

Everytime I go back to champion I’m like damn this is better than I remember. After a few hours of playing you really start to notice the flaws though. Still a great game to go back and play every once in awhile.
Yeah imo once you start playing it agai. For a few hours you kinda figure out the formula to win not saying oh you fight every fight like this then you'll win but getting settled with the timing and countering makes this still a fun game but seemingly less challenging
Love that you’re using my favorite boxer. The only thing I didn’t like about FNC was the block system. I feel it made it to easy. I mean one block for high and low? When round 3 had front,left and right block for high and low. Just my opinion. Great content as always.
The automatic block is one of the major things that held Fight Night Champion back. I’m kind of skeptical of ESBC having the semi-auto block, but at least it’s not just going to be one button.

In my opinion Fight Night Round 4 was and still is the best to me man. Graphically isn’t bad at all but just the challenge it gave me.. In FNC the AI is terrible throwing 10 hooks from like 5 ft away just terrible to me the amount of times they wif on shots

The only con to the game which I hope boxing club does better is the knockdown and ko animations. Every knockdown in champion looks like complete death and loss of consciousness lol. I hope they also have standing stoppages if your getting destroyed just like in real life.

I was born in Nigeria. I didn't have access to video games growing up because they were very very expensive and we weren't well off. When I got a bit older, like 13 - 16 I was able to go to arcades and play, but the only games that the arcades had were soccer games because that's the only game Africans really cared about lol. So yeah... The first time I ever owned a console was after I moved here.
I hate that you can't use headgear like an amateur fighter anywhere outside legacy mode. I would love to be able to just use a created fighter with headgear in Fight Now mode and be able to *choose* the opponent. Why couldn't they just do that?

Fighting the AI is just so easy in this game, as I really like boxing games with replay ability, Champions is not it. I cannot say this is the best one.
I don’t think that a single subjective opinion is enough though to make an argument against this not being the best game. Does the AI not fight fluently? Are the animations bad? Those are valid criticisms that you could bring, not saying they would apply here.

i think that fight night round 3 was the best one. even if it was slow, it was realistic and also fun. if you knew how to play. and career mode was awesome.
What you should've done is got a xbox 360 deleted the saved game data and played the disc version of the game becuase you will play the launch settings of the game as it was actually intended to be before it got patched and adjusted to the mess it is nowadays. The casual fans ruined FNC because they couldn't adjust and threatened to stop playing the game. If you play the day one settings you'll see the game is a much more mature and realistic boxing game. They done everything to eliminate the spammy feel of round 4 and the fighters take alot more damage because of the stamina drain so it really slows the pace down and makes you have to box tightly over the 10 rounds. Honestly you should try it.
The only thing other fight night games have over FNC is the roster, FNC has no many of those fake fighters from their story and took out actual boxers to make room for them. But gameplay wise, FNC is the best boxing games of all time. While the rest are arcadey, FNC is the closet thing to simulating a boxing match. Hopefully ESBC can surpass, or at least, be as good as FNC.

If you land 20 straight punches without your opponent Landing one you can get a knockout in Fight Night 3

Round 3, it's like you have total control, swaying blocking carrying punching, it's all perfect, but champion looks the best ever.

But you can choose between fully manual and semi auto, so just choose what you feel is better.
