Phenomenal job figuring this out and sharing. I own 7 pairs of Holbrooks and just checked them all, sure enough some are 55mm, some are 57mm, had no idea about this "change".
I have a holbrook oo9102-63 size 55. Now I want to replace the lens. But the holbrook oo9102 that's on sale right now doesn't have size 55. It's all size 57. I'm very confused. If size 55 and 57 are the same size as you said. can i order

Wait so they are the same exact same lenses but oakley says one is 55mm and the other is 57mm what the heck oakley. and thats so weird that explayns why why remved the size of the sunglasses from there website lol
This explanation makes total sense. But I have a pair of 54mm frames (satin black) and a par of 56mm frames (ink fade) and there does seem to be a difference between these two. I haven't tried exchanging the lenses yet.
hey there, i know this is not a related question but since you are the sunglass guru i wanted to ask a question so i am looking to buy the original wayfarers from Ray-Ban so i went on their website and i was wondering what "polished" meant on the description because as far as i know there are 3 types of frame styles gloss,matte,tortoise and when i went to check the rayban wayfarer Ease it said "gloss" so i was wondering why the classic Ray-Ban Wayfarer is marketed as polished is it a seperate one made just for the classic?

Holbrook glasses are for big tall guys. They are for guys with big heads. You look great in Holbrook I bet you are tall guy, but they're not for average or small guys. Plus they are not wrapped and that's bad

Probably started measuring them different in the china factory
and what about frame? you could compare one against another, is it about 4mm wider or not?

There is also a Holbrook XL with 59mm lenses.
My big head outgrew the 55mm Holbrooks so I switched to the XL and they fit much better.
