A fun bit of vocaloid history for y'all: In 1961, Hatsune Miku's grandpa (an IBM 7094) first sang the song "Daisy", which is what inspirated that scene in 2001 a space odessy
Through the dmca we persevered to to learn about vovaloid even tho short. Hopefully the shorts format will let us get through more vocaloid stuff. Cya later everyone, OtsuRunie

OtsuRunie! Wow, I can't believe Miku killed the stream THRICE. Is there anything more evil than depriving us of our oshi? Either way, fun stream, Runie, thanks! Three YT bonks ain't enough to put Hatsunie down for the count If you're still looking for more suggestions, I've got some: Lagtrain by inabakumori ARROW by niki Phony by kafu Disturb Manic Girl by rerulili (extremely explicit) Love Me, Love Me, Love Me by kikuo (or really any song by kikuo, personally I like Hole-Dwelling and Kara Kara Kara no Kara)
OtsuRunie, OtsuMiku I had a general idea of Miku, but I heard some bangers today Sorry you had stream issues, but it was definitely out of your control I love how much you have gotten into RE2, applying speedrunning strats, replaying some areas... It makes me sooo happy Love you RUNIEEEE
I'm not really into Vocaloid, I just know Miku like everyone does, but there was something like a Vocaloid concert with holograms and all recently in my university and I could go. Even though I didn't know most of the songs it was fun. It's one of those things you don't expect to see outside of the internet you know? lol
Thank you, Hatsunie Ruku As someone who only knows about Vocaloid songs via meme-osmosis or when a Vtuber does a cover, I started out even more clueless than you. Indeed I learned a lot. Like how Deco27 is a Vocaloid 00:09:05???? how Vocaloid isn't even a genre but a brand 00:20:50 and how ever-watchful and mighty the Vocaloid-DMCA cartel is 00:57:11 01:21:30 01:41:55 At least this way we got some VOD-exclusive yapps BTW Susan has sadly moved on to Valhalla in August Nowadays we blame Neal for everything YT.
I'm not sure if you check comments this late into vods but I would suggest Yuyoyuppe. Especially the SICK Yanderu EP from last year. It uses Synth V banks instead of Vocaloid and it's probably not ok for stream but its honestly amazing to listen to.
I'm gonna leave some recommendations here, if not for Runie then at least for any other vocaloid listeners that are passing by. I like looking in lower places so there'll probably be at least one or two you've never heard of (even less so for Runie herself). Special note at the bottom! Format: "Title" [Producer] (Voice) - Note "かなしばりに遭ったら" [あばらや] (Kaai Yuki / Nurse Robot_Type T) - liminal song (if you see a Nurse Robot_Type T song you can usually assume it's a song that takes full advantage of the electronic voice) "found footage" [■37 shikakuzakana] (IA) - liminal song, check out more of ■37's stuff I hold them in high regard "ซอยจุ๊" [koshumu] (KAFU) - this song is Thai but the voicebank isn't "jigoku" [イルマ] (Miku) - heavy themes but the song itself goes hard "神様の国" [可ラッカ] (KAFU) - this producer is pretty cool because their tuning quality can only be described as "gummy" "ホープレスネス・ガールデス" [TokaP] (KAFU) - it consistently baffles me every time I see how low the view count is on this producer's songs "花ノ厨子" [螟上?邨ゅo繧] (Yuzuki Yukari) - experimental song, amateurish tuning, definitely won't be to everyone's taste, but there's a level of artistry on display I can't help but commend "メルヘンを殺さないで" [ive official] (SEKAI) - not a lot to say, just another of my beloved hidden gems "スカーティシュー" [Toa Official] (MEIKO) - I wanted to get at least one MEIKO in here, though Toa is probably the most renowned producer in these recommendations "ミッシングドロップ" [スナネコ。] (KAFU) - Rounding off with one of my favorite hidden gems At this point I realized I can probably sit here all day listing out songs so I'm gonna just leave it there. Feel kinda bad that 3/10 were KAFU but I guess she's popular for a reason. And a tip for finding random, obscure Vocaloid producers? Check tags on TH-cam and Twitter, sometimes there'll be events going on in the Vocaloid community. This year I'd noticed VocaDuo2024 and Vocaloid Collection Winter 2024, for example. Special note for Runie, is that a good sort of "journey" across various Vocaloid producers would be to find a PROJECT VOLTAGE playlist. PROJECT VOLTAGE was a Pokemon collaboration with Hatsune Miku, and so they had various Vocaloid producers come up with various Pokemon themed/inspired songs using Hatsune Miku. It's a good tour of how wildly different producers can utilize and tune the same voice and all effectively with the same prompt.
Hatsunie got a crash course on how quickly DMCAs work for Vocaloid content.

Hola que tal encantadora damisela, un gusto de conocerla, saludos desde El salvador.
3 bonks were not enough to stop the yap, she's too strong
Hatsune Miku
I'm gonna leave some recommendations here, if not for Runie then at least for any other vocaloid listeners that are passing by. I like looking in lower places so there'll probably be at least one or two you've never heard of (even less so for Runie herself). Special note at the bottom!
Format: "Title" [Producer] (Voice) - Note
"かなしばりに遭ったら" [あばらや] (Kaai Yuki / Nurse Robot_Type T) - liminal song (if you see a Nurse Robot_Type T song you can usually assume it's a song that takes full advantage of the electronic voice)
"found footage" [■37 shikakuzakana] (IA) - liminal song, check out more of ■37's stuff I hold them in high regard
"ซอยจุ๊" [koshumu] (KAFU) - this song is Thai but the voicebank isn't
"jigoku" [イルマ] (Miku) - heavy themes but the song itself goes hard
"神様の国" [可ラッカ] (KAFU) - this producer is pretty cool because their tuning quality can only be described as "gummy"
"ホープレスネス・ガールデス" [TokaP] (KAFU) - it consistently baffles me every time I see how low the view count is on this producer's songs
"花ノ厨子" [螟上?邨ゅo繧] (Yuzuki Yukari) - experimental song, amateurish tuning, definitely won't be to everyone's taste, but there's a level of artistry on display I can't help but commend
"メルヘンを殺さないで" [ive official] (SEKAI) - not a lot to say, just another of my beloved hidden gems
"スカーティシュー" [Toa Official] (MEIKO) - I wanted to get at least one MEIKO in here, though Toa is probably the most renowned producer in these recommendations
"ミッシングドロップ" [スナネコ。] (KAFU) - Rounding off with one of my favorite hidden gems
At this point I realized I can probably sit here all day listing out songs so I'm gonna just leave it there. Feel kinda bad that 3/10 were KAFU but I guess she's popular for a reason.
