I’m from Itta Bena! My maternal grandmother lived on Mitchell St and my paternal grandmother lived behind her on Kennedy St. I attended LS Roger’s elementary and marched in Leflore High School band my freshman year before moving North. I loved growing up in Itta Bena. All of those downtown stores were open and there were a lot more whites there when I was a kid.
Hello young lady..Just enjoy watching your beautiful videos..I can see how you channel is taking off..I predict 2025 will continue to build your brand..Thank you so much for going to Edward’s Mississippi I enjoyed it so much..Have a very Merry Christmas..God bless 🎄
The vibe, your voice, and the work you’re putting in is infectious. Love your work and the time you’re putting in. Watching from Illinois…….I have family in Brookhaven, Bogue Chitto, Wesson, Hazlehurst, etc ……. All beautiful places… SLOW, BUT BEAUTIFUL 😍
Crazy I got ppl and extended family in Chicago and I'm from Brookhaven 😂 I love to see these videos from ppl who aren't from around how they all adore Mississippi's ancient vibe in the modern day
I always enjoy seeing videos like this and thank you so much. Regardless of what’s let in small towns in America, those that’s still remaining in the towns they are the ones that have to keep it alive. This is so prevalent all across America. Also it’s a sad sight to see this towns in this country as a whole that’s sitting and rotting down. Took jobs from America and moved then overseas and that’s why a lot of towns is in this situation. Again, thanks for your work.
Keep the videos coming. Can you drive through Shaw, MS? My dad was born and raised here until he trurned 13 in 1955. I’ve been to Mound Bayou, MS but never Shaw.
I love the way you walk around the town vs just driving around. It makes me feel like I’m walking around the town too. I can really get an sense of the peace relaxation & community watching you around 💪🏽 great job im glad I found your video 😊
It's a shame that the downtown area is so deserted. The beautiful brick roads are left to deterioate with sink hole and they have no plans for repair. The city should have done more to help keep the Postal office and other functioning business in the downtown area. Once they move out, so does everyone else. I also want to say that it was awesome that you got that gentleman to talk to you on camera because he knew all the building and what business were located in each during the past 20 years. He was a wealth of information.
@@InTheseStreetz I love that you asked about what people do for entertainment in those areas. He really didn't answer the question but i can't believe everyone just sits in their houses at night. There must be some bars or clubs somewhere in these areas.

Yes, it's always a hope that someone change and build these towns back up.
I agree, he was great to talk with, gave light to their hometown.
