Great review, but I do have one very very very slight nitpick, at 4:14 when you’re saying it’s not confirmed he took inspiration from old paleo media, this is actually confirmed as in the Behind The Scenes video for A More Ancient Spring, he does mention one old painting he took heavy inspiration from.

In hindsight, I should’ve reworded that moment better, but I was actually talking about something different than the inspiration from “A More Ancient Dorset” (which is the painting he drew inspiration from for the third episode). When I said “vintage-paleoart”, I was mainly referring to Paleo-art from the 1920s through the 1990s, like the work of Charles R. Knight, Rudolph Zallinger or Zdeněk Burian. “A More Ancient Dorset” is pretty much the first piece of paleo-art ever made (with it being made in the 1800s) and while it was definitely an influence on “A More Ancient Spring” (with even the title being a reference to that original piece), that’s the only episode directly tied to an piece of classical/retro/vintage paleo-art, and David’s not confirmed whether or not the more well-defined, less abstract, “Charles R. Knight style” of paleo-art was an inspiration for the series or its artstyle. So that’s why I worded it the way I did.
