  • Aquatopia is an indoor water park at the Camelback Resort in Pennsylvania. This 125,000 square foot complex is attached to the Camelback Lodge hotel and it's the best water park in the Poconos. From the appearance to the slide lineup, this park surprised me in many ways.

    I absolutely love this place. I haven’t been since it’s opening year in 2017 but when I went I was very impressed with not just the stack and the slide collection but the fact that there is so much to do and there are no lines for anything except for the three most popular attractions in storm chaser flow rider and Venus slide trap which only had like a 10 minute wait and operations were just faster than knowledge. However this is not the best indoor water park I’ve ever been to as the best one I’ve been to is just down the interstate at the Kalahari resort. The reason being is that they are basically the cedar point of indoor water parks where they have every single slide type of genre and there’s much more things to do outside at work park as well but this water park is still downright amazing. That’s why the Poconos is the best place to visit if I want to go to an indoor waterpark resort because my top 2 indoor water parks are in the area

      I much prefer this to the Kalahari. I've been to that park twice and had half the slides closed. Even if all of them were open, I prefer the lineup and atmosphere of Aquatopia.

    Kudos to Camelback Lodge for going all out on the exploration theming here. I would not have guessed this was an American water park just going by the slides & attention to detail, it reminds me of some videos I’ve seen of water parks in Europe. I think Kalahari probably has a stronger slide lineup, but if your experience with random closures & bad operations there wasn’t a fluke, then I’d definitely take this place over Kalahari.

    I've done 2 body bowl slides, but both are the ones where you come to a stop then climb down the stairs. They're at NRH2O and on the Carnival Dream cruise ship. I've seen your videos of the ones that dump you into a pool, and those look fun. I think I'd prefer those too.
    This looks like a great indoor waterpark with a great variety of slides. If I lived close by and wanted some waterslide thrills off-season, this would be a great option. But since I would probably only be in the area on a summer coaster trip, I would want to maximize my time with amusement parks instead.

    • @CanobieCoaster
      @CanobieCoaster  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's awesome they're open year-round. This place has late hours, so they are sometimes open later than the nearby amusement parks.

    Personally, my favorite waterslide is Storm Chaser, I didn't get the chance to ride anything else that could be the potential of being the best in the waterpark, the tall body slides and the family raft slide. Plus, they were supposed to open a tube slide called Pacific Peril in Spring 2019, but it's been more delayed than every SeaWorld coaster.
    Edit: I'm pretty sure they were building a really cool raft slide too. It's a shame that they're still not open, they were both slated to open years ago. I've pretty much marathoned Lava Luge and Constrictor/Mountain Mayhem, they're the most nostalgic waterslides for me.

      Yes right. I actually wanted to do Great Wolfe cause they have a bigger area for little kids but they have construction going on now. Then I wanted to do Kalahari but they are super expensive for PA. You're better off doing an all inclusive im the Caribbean or a cruise for that money. So we settled on Camelback and only cause we've been here before that I say settle.

  • @mrprobro522
    @mrprobro522 ปีที่แล้ว

    You should go to Great Wolf Lodge Poconos. It has a ProSlide Watercoaster. It does propel you upwards with conveyor belts but it’s a watercoaster it’s still fast and fun and just because there’s conveyor belts doesn’t mean there’s not airtime. I haven’t been there but I’ve seen it online. It looks fun even if it’s among the weaker WaterCoasters it likely is better than most water slides.

      Yeah im going there next week and although I've been here before it was a weekend or a day pass. So staying on the property for 5 days, one would assume parking was free like any other resort/hotel. I was informed by the front desk that started due to covid...recouping costs. But c'mon spending a little over 2k for the room, plus taxes, plus resort fees you would think they would get rid of that...greedy 🙄🙄🤑

    I first went here in April 2016 for the first time, then a second time in April 2018, during the first year, the bell on the bucket was spinning very slowly (basically the audio of Quassy's Bucket Dump vids in slow motion) but then sometime in 2017, the bell was spinning SOO fast, so you now can actually tell when the bucket is going to dump. Yes the roof is corrected, but Massanutten Indoor Waterpark has a pyramid version of this kind of roof minus the lights.
