@@ChillinDrives I moved to Gardiner, Montana (the north entrance to Yellowstone National Park). Not quite as beautiful as Haines - But not too shabby, either. Slightly smaller than Haines. If you’ve never been to Gardiner, you should Google it sometime! Better yet, drive through here and make a video out of it! 😉
I lived in Haines from 1977 to 1978. Then moved to Ketchikan. Haines was the most beautiful location. I stopped there in 2022 on a cruise. What an awesome time, our house is gone, was at the end of FAA road. School is gone but still visited the location for a beer. Remember going Trick or Treating through the fort area. I plan to visit again with my family next year or the year after for a few weeks in an RV. So much has changed but also so much is the same.
Beautiful and relaxing area! But I hear Ketchikan is just as beautiful! You are lucky. Do you see lots of wildlife in Ketchikan? thank you for watching.
Dei Shu, "End of the Trail"... Haines does feel like that. The town, the inlets, the forests, the lakes, it all gives me the feeling that I'm at the end of the road, the cul-de-sac of dreams, like there's nowhere left to go in all the world. I've reached the finish line, and before me stands Heaven on Earth. It fills me with joy and contentment every time I'm there.
I’m trying to figure how out to financially make it in Haines. I’m wondering what jobs a family could do there and what the cost of living is like. From my short time researching the food and beverage prices are ridiculous. I would want to have a business so that I could ship product out.
I have no idea, but we did notice it is very family oriented. Very few restaurants and groceries cost a bit more. Beautiful area with lots of wildlife. Thanks for watching. Best wishes!
A lot of guys work at mines or up north and ship out for work like 2 weeks on 2 weeks off or 3 weeks on 3 weeks off. also you other guys better have a wife or girlfriend before you move there it's slim pickins.
What is your favorite moment?
Just gorgeous, your videography is spectacular. You captured some amazing wildlife and I love it!

Why drive so fast?
Didn’t mean to!
It's pretty but there's too many alligators.
You mean Florida not Alaska right?
