During lockdown I haven’t used printed maps at all, but I would use sheets of black paper or cardstock (the size can be around half a letter or A4 sheet) and lay them over the unexplored areas like fog of war.
How do you get the alone battlemap PNG like that? all i have are DOIP Maps that are left inside of the book digitally and physically from the essentials kit. dunno how to find the battlemaps alone for locations. Nor map battlemaps myself.
Right! I usually go for the one-inch scale if the map is meant to be used with minis and is small enough. For larger maps where rough locations are enough, I go for the smaller scale just to keep things portable and to save some ink.
You could do some math in terms of how large the whole map would have to be in order to get 8mm squares and then set that as the size for your image when printing it.
Such a good idea for saving time and still getting good looking maps.
Thanks! I agree, and my Lost Mine of Phandelver maps are still nice and vibrant despite the odd minor spill.
Great video. Thanks.
Do you laminate them at home?
How about how to print the map either 1 sq per 5' or 1 sq per 10' but done so that you can use it tabletop with figures?
Just as a question, do you obscure rooms your PCs haven't been to in the dungeon, and if so, how do you do it?

I know you said that they're not 1 inch grid size but the way you did it is just put it in poster mode and print that's it ?

isn't that size too small?
you guys know how to add grid lines for 5 foot squares for that map? 1 square = 10 feet isn't the correct size
I need the squares to be 7mm or 8mm for 6mm Miniatures. Any way to print to that scale? I have access to larger paper. Like 16x20.
