2023 Polaris 9R 146 // Jump Testing in Revelstoke!

- Got out for my first break in miles of the spring on the Polaris Khaos 9R 146, what a WEAPON! The throttle response of this new motor has me blown away, take a look as I learn just what the differences really are in this new sled!

I appreciate you explaining more about 4 minutes in. It’s important for a lot of us amateur riders to understand the risks involved when we see seasoned pro’s like you. Lots of us see riders push limits, but may not understand that it’s all calculated and that we need to put that into perspective with our riding. Great content 👌

I knew the day the 9r was released that it was everything I was wanting my 850 to be...I've been Jones'n to be able to ride one since the day I snowchecked. You're a lucky man! As I always am looking forward to next season...I am definitely looking forward to this next season and, the 9r.

Damn, that 9R sounds amazing. Too bad I couldn't get one this year. I settled with a regular 850 Khaos 155. Lucky to get one though I suppose! Maybe next year...

Amazing video quality and skillful riding, you guys make it look easy. The 9R looks like a ton of fun but what is your opinion on how it compares to the Boost in terms of the inevitable horsepower drop of the 9R at altitude?
i think the 9R will
be strongest in the trees with the quick response and long legs, the boost for me will be for the super deep days riding more open ground!
I picked up my new snow checked R9 155 RMK PRO \Slash sled 12/29/2022 the next morning went out for the first ride with my buddy's unfortunately the engine locked up at 6.4 miles. My first thought was it seized but turns out the crank broke. I got it back to town in time for the dealer to order a new complete engine red label. So that problem is being takin care of thanks to the dealer and Polaris. We removed the belt and towed the sled back to the tow vehicle and the track was not turning at all for the first mile or so. In the 6.4 miles I rode the sled I noticed the brake lever had no free play at all. Iam sure the track was not meted to the high fax running in 6 inches of powder. I think the lack of free play on the brake lever was causing the brake to drag not letting the track to turn. Even after that I thing I am going to love this sled. Any thoughts out there on the 2 problems Iam having??? LOVE THE VIDEOS.

Awesome footage as usual! Am I mistaken but 5:00 in & it sounds like the front shocks on the 9R are bottoming out pretty hard, yeah? No? The jump where you talk about the dangers, I actually let out an "OHFFHHH" when you landed cuz it sounded like you hit hard.
they’re not bottoming. you’re hearing the track slap the drivers on impact!

Is it a factory track on that 9r ? Serie6 2,6" ?
A little birdy mentioned.... The lightweight crankshaft in the 9R is the 650 crank.... the cases are the same - 650, 850, Boost, 9R.
So? Once my 650 is out of warranty, a 9R top end and tune just might be a factory parts upgrade? 9R VR1, that's gonna be cool.

Now that you have had some time on the 9r, what else can you say about the platform, either good or bad? Issues with plugs fouling or any other stupid annoying quirks?

Riding in a avalanche zone, nice way to promote safety, love how you guys talk out of both sides of your mouth.
we are all trained avalanche professionals and safety is first. hence the explanation and the shift to mellower
terrain after we noticed the reactive small slides happen.
