its is great all around the area. Unfortunatley for us, the weather was crap, and also everywhere, was overflowing. Berths, moorings, and anchourages. The manager at Kerriea its was chaos, they had the round Mull race, West Highlands race, The round the wrold Cutter race, as well as a number of large groups from the continent all converging at the high season for touring boats. Also we found due to the weather more required berths than normal, and there wasa high number of yachts booking berths for long periods to leave them so the owners could head home to wait better weather.
@@MyAvaGrace - the Clippers are not normally there but West Highland week can be busy as we found out a few years back. I think you just picked an unusually busy year for Oban.
@@SailingYachtSaltyLass yeh, and we were about 3 weeks late in getting there so hit the crowds. Plus one group from Holland had about 15 yachts all moving en-mass from one place to the next.
Been a long time since we were in Oban, but there are plenty of anchorages about the place.
