One of the best channels out there. The tutor is exceptional. One small request. Kindly create same series for Azure and focus on presales, use cases (like solutioning, migration use-cases) and devops for Azure/AWS
Loved the use cases. Great video and explanation - KI, but I feel may be some parts of it needs to be updated. For example: Amazon RDS for SQL Server now provides the SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) as an OOTB functionality. Similarly, to migrate the existing users within the on-prem domain to Cloud, one may opt for the Migration Toolkit along with PES (password export service) aka "AWS Managed Microsoft AD", instead of using a Lambda. Of-course I haven't done any price comparison between - using the OOTB functionalities and the way it's been explained in the video. would love to hear from you!
Very few videos , that too informative, easy to follow are posted. And the use case flow was awesome, logical. from start to end. This is from a Product Manager , who is trying to do lift and shift of .NET site on AWS. Great job, keep posting.
I loved this one.. This will help people in selecting the best architecture design.. No one can become a good architect without being able to answer these sort of questions... Thank you and please posting more.
this use-case concept is good. But if you create the scenario in practical form that will be more helpful but i will try to create same. Thanks a lot :)
Really helpful sir, appreciate for such videos. since long time I was looking such kind of video. aprt from this recently I have started to watch your AWS videos and it help me a lot while doing my work even many AWS things are get cleared. Keep posting...
It is a nice use case. Lambda has some limitation we can' t if it runs beyound 10-15min. Not sure if all the reports processing/loading can be completed in 15min.
Thanks for the wonderful tutorial, couple of questions: at 11:58 - what are the other ways to connect to an On-Prem AD, so users get listed in the desired module at 15:27 - Using NAT, how can I authenticate users against Azure AD ? Can I not use AWS Cognito/AWS Managed AD/Any other option ? Which would be the most cost efficient way to achieve this ?
1.In 8:40 you said as RDS we wont get service like SSIS and SSRS , here in this use case we have few reports what if they have hundreds of reports then what will be the suitable solution? 2.When you say re-develop the reports again , which platform you suggest to redevelop those reports? Is AWS provides any platform to redevelop those? 3. For Use case #4, With Lambda isn't SES(Simple Email service) can be used to send email on user request? 4. For Use Case #4, if now we store the reports on S3 through Lambda, then isn't the corresponding details w.r.t report need to store it in the RDS SQL server? Thanks for the lucid explanation.
1. may be not.. then you may choose to go for SQL Server in IaaS mode. 2. No, you can choose any programming platform you like, 3. SES is used to send email, but you need to trigger the code. Lambda could be used to trigger the code when required steps are done. 4. Report in this case is an excel file which has been generated, hence it has all the processed data. If you got benefited, help us by sharing this video..
Hi, Your Explanation of migration is nice. I guess you have uploaded only one video regarding migration. Please try to upload a new videos regarding migration and it's scenarios. If possible take the scenario of migrating Java based applications and it's respective database from on premise data center to AWS. Why because we get to know about Devops lifecycle where you use Maven, Tomcat, Jenkins and any automation by using ansible etc... Please upload anything related to this migration scenarios so that we will get good knowledge of AWS and Devops.
Great video.. Im thriving to crack an AWS architect role , this video gives an idea of how to approach a scenario in practical way . My one question is what all do we do from an assesment phase , is the solution cost effective , and how do we ensure the solution we provide would expect the application to run with better performance and when do we expect to reap benefits of moving to cloud and the new solutions ... Sorry if my questions are too many . These are the kindoff questions as an architect would come across.. So seeing if we have anything related to it .

suppose I am migrating from my on premise with the help of SCT TOOL and DMS ms sql server to aws rds mysql then do I need to have public ip in my laptop then our source endpoint can be created ? because I am getting network issue while source endpoint testing ? next question is what should I put in server name while creating DMS source endpoint ? ip or server name of my laptop? my local home laptop i m using not aws ec2 for ms sql server ?
Question: For point #3, why do we need to call the Azure API over the internet using the Nat Gateway when we have already established a private connection between on-prem and AWS ?

Thanks a lot. I suggest going through other videos in the description and learn all the concepts which are talked about in this video. You can then go ahead and create it..
Do we really need to have two separate availability zone for the NAT gateway, ELB, RDS .. they are anyways managed internally as high availability entities. Also, sine we are just using EC2 for compute we can have it on auto recovery with the latest AMI of last release. I may be thinking out loud and wrong but this is something I thought can be achieved with lesser cost.
Thanks for sharing video. What are the services need to use .net application migration to aws cloud and RDS as well. what if rds failover occurs.what are the steps to be followed. Please make the video if possible.

you can use Step Functions to break a long process into smaller steps and hence have different Lambda functions do each part.

I belive We don't move complete data as it is.. We will be shifting the backedup data which would be compressed ..
Can you please try implementing the same. this gives more exposure and we can implement the same looking at your's as reference.
