Hey! I had a lot of luck with double bagging recently. When I wanted to isolate a branch fork, the throw bags got jammed so that the two lines couldn't go back and forth. In my head I was already calculating how much the two throw bags and my beloved DMM XSRE screw lock would cost.
At some point I was just tugging at the lines in desperation. Snap! and both projectiles came flying towards me. It turned out that the lower band on one of the throw bags had broken. I was so happy to be able to hold everything in my hands again. 😅 The next time I threw, I hit it better and could climb high.

The Bowline with a Yosemite finish is my fav, easily attach/detach the girth hitch from the throw weight to the lifeline rope without ever touching the knot.
I use 10 oz bags, though even the tiniest branches can affect the trajectory of my throws, and if I'm not super careful when pulling the line back inn the weights will swing around a branch 10x. "Climb of shame" is a fitting term..

Bowline termination is definitely my go-to for attachment, it's just so simple!
Great video guys. My first climb I forgot to isolate the union. Then I thought it would be a good idea to use my climb line to double bag. What a mistake that was. Lot's of lessons were learned that day. 😅 I definitely need to practice throwing more.
Practice does make perfect or in this case, increases the probability of making it in minimal shots!

Great video well explained and demonstrated. I attach using a slippery clove-hitch and usually throw an 8oz.

I've always used the over index finger method. Accuracy and launch height is unbeatable. 1 extra tip from what i saw here, is to pull a slight tension in the string between both hands, then if you perfectly time the release of the string in your holding hand just as the weight is nearing the end of the slack in the string after releasing with your throwing hand. You can create a double whip between the weight and string that nearly doubles the height of your throw while maintaining accuracy.
I use a different tie. I use a clove hitch but add a bite in the second loop of my clove. For me, it's quicker to tie and pull's out by pulling the tail of your string, just like your figure 8.

Great video Abdon! While isolating, I do often find myself flaking throw line on the ground to access the bottom end of the throw line, and it’s tangle-ville in many terrains. Sometimes I consider carrying an empty third cube to flake into and avoid tangles….is that weird?
It wouldn't be weird if you find success with a spare cube. May be laying out a small tarp could help reduce the tangles?

So none of you use a crossbow/compound bow ? I use a bow and arrow with the arrow head being a 50g weight that sits loosely on the shaft. The shaft is tethered by a loose string that i just stand on, so it falls to the ground shortly after release. The weight continues up into the tree with throw line attached. It's a good setup for tight windows and trees with lots of foliage down low - I live in an evergreen belt.
Recently tried using a drone with a snag release with ok success, the highest branches can be accurately accessed, but yeah, wouldn't want to get it stuck 😀
