I bought this last week and I'm still waiting for it. Few years ago I bought a nazgul 5 inch and boy that was a mistake to try and get into fpv with a full blown freestyle. Now I will practice on this one and hopefully graduate to the 5 incher
You made good choice to start 1s-2s tinywhoop like this drone after nazgul :) I was started with mantis85 2s and did crashed/repaired it soo many times. Now I'm flying 4s 5inch custom. I definitely recommend you to play simulator from time to time on pc.
You can calibrate the level flight and laser altitude hold and put it into pro configuration through the menu in the headset. With everything powered up and a video feed in the headset, Hold controller and Left Stick= Full left yaw, Right Stick= Full pitch down (stick all the way up) simultaneously. This will access the configuration menu displayed in headset use sticks for direction and enter. Save and exit. Power cycle ( remove/replace battery) and should be golden. Also, what seems to be prop wash is actually ( I’ve recreated it every time) is the 1.5mm shaft of a motor or two (depending on direction of flight) actually spinning inside the boss of the propeller. A ton of heat transfers to that shaft and the tiny motors are so powerful the shaft spins under high load. Remove the props and cut some splines in the shaft, new props and it’ll shit and get. Have fun!!
I know you can use the cable, there’s no way to get a standard strap on there to hold the batteries to the drone though. Tape is not going to last lmao.
SD is not just turtle you can use it to scroll through the different frequency bands to the drone is on. There needs to be a video that focuses on how to pair this drone to the goggles and controller etc as there is a LOT of confusion out there.
I would add the following: the Aquila16 copter is designed only for the BETAFPV Configurator and for the remote controller that comes in the kit, which means that if someone has another remote controller with ELRS, then you won’t be able to customize the copter for yourself in Betaflight and therefore not all modes will work . There is no boozer, the search for a copter is in question. For an apartment, you can’t turn off the air mode, it will stick to the walls and fall where you will disarm it in order to unstuck. There is also regular self-disarming, i.e. turns off whenever it wants. The quality of the fpv camera sucks even for an analogue one. The battery is detached when the copter falls or hits an obstacle. The design is beautiful, but the quality is slag. If to buy it then only as a kit, why would I need the kit if I have good glasses and RC. I just bought a copter and got these unexpected troubles. I don’t see the point in paying such money for that kit.
come on thats a bit unfair its like comparing a racing kart to a formula one car we all have to start somewhere. I really enjoyed the review it has convinced me to get into fpv by getting one of these kits thank you 👍👍

I'm waiting for my replacement from Amazon to arrive today, had this drone for about 2 weeks then outta nowhere, it'll fly great for a minute or two, then descend to about two inches off the ground, and will not fly any higher than that?? 😑 Super bummed, I did the recalibration for the drone, made sure batteries were good and fully charged. It has plenty of power, not getting the low vol signal in the goggles or anything, just won't fly higher than a couple inches off the ground, maybe it could be fixed, in fact I'm sure it could, but I just bought this thing and paid good money for it, I shouldn't have to "Fix" anything this early on, so I ordered a replacement, if it happens again with this one, I'll probably go for the Cetus X brushless instead, same price as this kit, can use multiple brand batteries, not like the proprietor battery that works with the Aquila 16, and you get the radio lite 3 with the Cetus X, with the Aquila 16 you get radio lite 2, I'm not even sure what any of that means, I'm brand new to this stuff, but I do know what I like and what I don't like, and i definitely don't like having to wait for another drone to arrive because the one i already have won't work 2 weeks after i got it..😑 All in all tho, great drone, I'm hoping I just got a lemon with the last one and the one coming today will last me for a very long time, I'm ready to get some FPV flying in, hopefully the Amazon truck gets here soon, it's already after 7am 😂

no offence but if you don't know the differences between the Vtxs and Rtxs available maybe keep researching.
