JB's voice is the reason why I fell in love with GOT7! He's one of the main vocalists with youngjae (JY & YG are lead vocalists) but I still think he's so underrated. His vocal tone is seriously so unique and his adlibs in their songs is like ugh *chefs kiss*
All of them have amazing vocals. They each bring such beautiful harmony to the group. I do think that people tend to highlight Youngjae's power vocals and high notes, which is outstanding and out if this world, but his lower register and softer vocal range is absolutely beautiful as well. There aren't many clips that show him singing in this range. Also, his falsetto's are amazing. He needs the opportunity to showcase his softer lower range. Like in 1:31a.m., Gravity, Nobody Knows, when he starts off in his lower register before the power vocals kick in. Another good example is his OST "Falling in Love" and his cover of "To my Youth". You should check it out if you get the chance.
There's a fairly newer compilation video, it's called GOT7 amazing vocals compilation - 2020 (part 1 & 2). It showcases all the members vocals (this one is just the vocal line). Definitely worth the watch. The maker has also done a GOT7 original vs remix video.

i definitely do agree!! youngjae mostly receives the high parts, and it's okay but the thing is it's not the only thing he's good at. i remember listening 1° the first time and i doubted if the first part of the first chorus is youngjae. yes it sounds like youngjae but he seldom got those kind of parts that's why i doubted it before.
@@gmachine0 Oh please do. It's amazing. Also, check out Youngjae's cover of To my Youth. So much emotion in his voice. He said the lyrics reminded him a lot about his younger self and his life.
@@marriane4510 Yes! 1° is a great example. A few lyric videos initially had that first "Look at me I'm afraid" allocated to JB, but I was like nope, that's not JB. I was doubting whether it was Youngjae because he usually doesn't get the opportunity to use that softer, lower vocal range but once I listened again I was sure. I really, really, really love his power vocals and high notes but there's this special tonal quality in his lower and softer registers that convey so much emotion. You can see it in his solo stuff on soundcloud & especially in his cover of To my Youth. They need to let him showcase it more for GOT7.
How some get attention with lower vocals but Jb is here being ignored by his company for being iconic and wanting got7 to determine got7 colour. When Jb is out, jype will see what they gonna miss and regret doing all those unbelievable, unreasonable mistreatment towards Jb especially as if he was caught in a scandal🙄
Noo I never want Jb to leave but I get you! He needs to actually be allowed fully lead the group and make important decisions not just have the title
@@gmachine0 That's also not nice for me to say but if Jb is at the end if his patience and will be locked int he basement without his future secured..If he does, I will have to follow my artists with broken heart. He is 8 years in the industry with this face and talent but couldn't get Jype to give only freedom for doing his music simply and leave got7 alone to make their own music. He was the selfless leader but Jype used his sense of responsibility just to lure fans not secure his future with at least ONE solo debut before enlisting. Would you love to stay with nothing in your hands another 5 years??! He sacrificed enough to expect to want at least his music to be heard. He wasn't asking for stg extra as an artist under Jype,only what supposed to be given. He wanted to do his music and get got7 bigger. 😔

Fun fact JB didn't even want to be a singer at first. He was into b-boying and dancing. But then when he started learning to sing or perhaps when he became a jyp trainee he liked it. I didn't even notice this until you mentioned people don't talk more about his vocals. That's so true. A lot of say how he's a great leader more than how amazing his vocals are that never crack

JB & Jinyoung are my fav voice, but i was surprised when you said Jinyoung is known more for his voice, hahaha i would love if thats really true, more people appreciating his beautiful voice. Also, i kind of agree JB's voice is underrated, people needs to acknowledge and praise his beautiful voice more.

I agree with you on JB vocals. Everybody talks about his stage presence which is top notch for sure, his sexiness/his looks, him as a producer or leader but I think when it comes to vocals JB and Yugyeom are the most underrated in got7. Yugyeom is very very underrated. Ppl only talk about his dancing which is amazing yes but so are his vocals which is why I appreciated Jus2 so much because they both really shined in it. Youngjae as a whole is the most underrated member in the group but his vocals are always praised by everyone who listens to got7 so I wouldn't say he's underrated as a vocalist he's more so underrated as an idol. Jinyoung is the one who I think is the most evenly praised. For his acting, vocals, dancing, visuals and writing skills. But some how he's still underrated. Ppl need to just stop sleeping on my boys overall.
I personally hope JB and Youngjae do more low tones singing because they sound soooooooo good and Jinyoung and Yugyeom should do more higher tones because I think that's where they shine the most. For example, Yugyeom and Jinyoung bridge in Face🥺 *chefs* *kiss*

My 4 years of being a fan of Got7 not once did I hear JBs voice crack while singing. He's always just sang so well.
I don't think JB is underrated.. He is always recognized as the main vocalist of Got7 together with Youngjae. If we talk about underrating, I actually feel that Youngjae is the more underrated one... To me, JB has the chance to sing in the range that best suits him in the group's song, but Youngjae can rarely sing in the lower pitch range where his voice is actually fuller, sweeter and less aggressive

I just said basically the same thing about Youngjae. Youngjae's lower register and softer tone is absolutely beautiful. I really love his softer voice. Like in To My Youth, soft then goes powerful and also his OST. He needs to be given a chance to show his lower softer ranges.

I think Jinyoung is the most underated b4 this i don't remember in which comeback i think the earlier one. People keep saying he had no power in his voice. he keep getting insult by that. He was trained as a rapper b4 so he had to learned to be vocalist when he enter GOT7 he keep getting better and better bc he is a hardworking man. I don't think people give any recognition with his voice. The most recognition is JB had been invite in some show due to his skill writing and his voice and YJ bc he is the main vocalist. They only recognize u when u were main vocalize. Many hate JY with what he gain now idk why people keep insulting and hate him even if they don't even know him personally. His a humble man never seen him being a show off saying he good at something. He literally good at everything coreographer, dance, singing, acting, presenter, composer, lyricist, reader, models and even help JB with leader work. JB said it himself many times even in Magazine too.

Vinna Changer I love all of got7 but I agree with @leka. Jinyoungs vocals are definitely not hyped up enough. Just bc he doesn’t do as many high notes ppl tend to forget him. Personally Jinyoung is my fav vocal, he has such a soft butter smooth voice, he kinda reminds me of kyungsoo. Rather than high notes, his rnb vocal runs are what are impressive about him but they’re never talked about EVEN in our fandom. He’s not really recognized as a vocal in korea, he’s mostly know as an actor/model.
