it seems like this camera has the same weirdness as the runcam 5 orange with transitioning from light to dark to light where everything is "too dark for too long" see: 19:34 the trees go totally dark with the split-s. This is one thing the session and GoPros are really good at...
To be honest the dynamic range and auto exposure are not great. You get a lot if crushed shadows with this cam. But for freestyle i still prefer it to a gopro.
I Love UnStabilized for Freestyle ( RAW Footage ),.... and sound of the quad,... you can see how good the quad Fly,... Stabilized For some Commercial Footage is ok, it is a must to looks Smoother n Nicer... btw Thanks for Sharing with us Bro.!!!
Action 2 two owner here as well. I have also noticed these twitches. Our quads do fly alot better these days.. if anybody can switch off stabilization, its you!
For someone as smooth as you, stabilization is not needed. I haven’t had those issues with my action 2 but I fly it on my small cinewhoop in wide mode.
Both are good... i would only do the extra work if you are going to sale your footage, but as far as "us" content is the entertainment, and we don't worry too much about extra smooth, because most (high amount) are on mobile devices so it don't matter..however teaching us new ways to edit, is cool too. So it's a win either way 😉
I dont think most fpv pilots care about the stabilization. With that said, the stabilized footage does look better and I think non fpv people would prefer it as they tend to get a motion sickness type feeling the more the footage moves around.
Actually, the issue has been there since the first version of this camera the DJI Action. I can provide plenty of footage that does it even worse. If you turn RockSteady of the footage great but you lose the RockSteady benifit.
Hey Stingy youre a smooth enough pilot and the FOV is so wide that you really dont need stabilization. Trippy gyros and over enhancement is why I choose not to fly stabilization, not bragging rights. Try it!
That music... Not headphones friendly... kinda echos about the skull and exploits whatever autistic tendencies might be lurking. Listening to that for more than 5 seconds would have me running around the house smashing shit like a cat with tape stuck to it's foot.

One minor gripe - if you're going to playback volume maximized music, make sure your voice track is equal volume, or #1 - I'll have turned up your voice and then the music is going to blow my speakers, or 2 - after I turn down the music I won't be able to hear you, which is definitely the case at the end. Not a huge deal, but...

I have two DJi action 2 also. I believe the jittery is caused by processing power. Once the buffer is full it loses the RS function for a mill second which is what cause the tick.
Sometimes on Cinematic flights i like the Super Smooth Stabilized Footage no question. Same time a more Freestyle tend flight with a lot of Tricks always prefer Raw with a bit of Motor Sound. Gives a better feeling what it feels sitting in the Quad, it dosn't matter if there are some bobbels or other harsh movements, thats flying in my opinien.
I think the unstabilized is the way to go for the DJI action, you lose too much with the stabilization, and your flights are very smooth to start with so you don't lose a whole lot by going unstabilized. Hopefully GoPro launches the session replacement soon and then this is not a non-issue
Too much work for my typical freestyle videos but nice to see some options to clean it up, my flippy floppy makes rock steady have a seizure so I have to run stabilization off on my Dji Action 2 camera 🎥 👊

Yea this has been driving me nuts too. Hope DJI fixes this, its been my go to so far because the size. Im also getting weird gitters when I do combination maneuvers like Im tripping out the stabilization on the cam. YEESH! Nice vid man, thanks for this
IDK man.. but i like the unstabilized clips better.. seems more real.. if it is for a commercial shoot then probably go for the stabilized footage but if its for youtube then i think the more raw and authentic footage definitely works better.. just my random two cents
DJI should include gyro data, how haven't they done that yet? Honestly they are pretty useless at giving users the features they want even with the great tech they have. Personally I must prefer to watch flights not stabilised, unless you are following something where the focus isn't on the pilot I don't see why you would remove the character of the flight. In general I don't tend to watch freestyle from anyone who uses stabilisation as it's just not as interesting to me.

Because of your video I've turned my 5 inch beater into a 7 inch with 2807 (holybro F7 has SD for blackbox, and barometer... this nice FC has taken years of abuse on a freestyle quad it needs some rest haha). And will shoot my next Long Ranges with the Action 2 ( for saving weight, and also gaining some experience on gyroflow, might be usefull for real one day :)
I get good smoothness out of horizonlock but too poor resolution. Also the light adjustment in the cam seems off when I change light perspective. Would love this gyroflow stabilisation but so far it seems too cumbersome for me. Newbie here but learning fast thanks for the videos.

i think the worst part about the camera is the super view, that looks really really bad to me. wide looks amazing though, that alone i would never buy it for that high cost. really hoping that the camera puts a fire under everyone elses butts to make more small size cameras!

I’m really trying to talk my self into getting an action 2. I just can’t get past the weird light to dark and back transitions it does. Like on big power loops when your inverted all the detail in the shadows on the trees just disappears. Please tell me I’m not crazy 😂🙏. Gyroflow rocks, but that twitch is really minor, almost like hypersmooth V1 used to do, honestly it wouldn’t be enough for me to go through all that in post, especially losing 16:9.
Hopefully constructive criticism: Change up your music. That royalty free/built in/ whatever the crap it is, is NOT Cutting it. I understand why you use it, but it's getting really hard not to tune out mentally. Nurk has the same problem. Did you guys buy the same sound pack? lol Don't get me wrong... it works. You still got my like, but would i put you up to get hyped to go rip? I'm afraid not, which is a shame because your flying is epic!

It’s because he’s probably on auto iso and white balance. Adjust those and it won’t happen.

Wait… it looks like when you load in the file it has gyro data baked into the footage… have you tried it without loading the black box data?
Gyroflow doesn’t support the action 2’s gyro data yet. I mention this at the end.

Sounds like your Action 2 is busted. Something wrong with the gyro. Haven't heard of anyone having a similar twitching issue.
So Action 2 videos only work in Gyroflow with blackbox data? Maybe that's why I haven't been able to stablize anything. How do I even get that?

The unstablized footage looks just fine! I think your profession is getting nit picky and ultra sensitive.
