This video is so helpful. This early October I stayed in a hotel here (7:56) in the main street in Gythio. The room balcony faced the sea, every morning I opened the balcony door, I was like "WOW", super stunning. I always sat outside eating ice-cream next to the Gythio police station.🤣
Interesting "off the beaten path" video. The stone buildings dominating Areopoli are unusual compared to most places I've seen in Greece. Definitely will want to make my way to Mani peninsula some day. Video quality is very good, despite the wind affecting the audio. Did you invest in fancy new gadgetry?
Agree, though I have videos coming of 'Deep' Mani, which is very 'off the beaten path' and I hope interesting. Certainly worth a visit, as long as you have a car, as you need your own transport. No new equipment, though I thank you, maybe I am getting better at video editing.....
Andrew, I loooove your videos with all the historical references and I've watched most of them so far (Yes, I live in Chalandri too !!). I'm sure you know that the spelling is actually Areopoli, not Aeropoli. Looking fwd to watching your next videos !!
Thank you, and yes, my mistake re. the spelling, I hadn't noticed. I will correct it!! Glad you enjoy my videos, I love local history, especially in Greece, my challenge is to try and get it largely right, which I don't always!!
@@GreeceExplored In fact Andrew, your videos also capture the colors of the sky and the nature in Greece so VERY accurately !!!! Are you doing any color correction post-production or is it directly from your camcorder? I have a Sony camcorder and the colors look awful....do you have any suggestions for me, please?
@@giwrgospa No colour correction, although I had to play with the exposure in the Diros Caves. I am using an Iphone 12 with a gimbal... I have looked at other solutions but the Iphone stabilised seems to work well. I am considering getting a separate microphone, and would love to move to 4k, but I need to see how and where the channel goes before I spend serious money on it...

@@GreeceExplored Trust me, any person with a Greek background appreciates what you are doing here on youtube. If you are ever in the Sparti-Gytheio area again, stop by in Petrina. It is a very small village and has 1 main cafe/food area and they serve great stuff. Petrina also exports locally produced olive oil, you should give it a try!
