@@barneylane08 absolutely! Look forward to it 🤩
Carrow Road
@@canaryinthemiddle will be there for the Norwich Vs WBA game in Jan 😉
Visit Grimsby Town. It is considered one of the ugliest stadiums around. I've been there and I say it has its charm.
Thanks for this. I've been a Palace fan for almost 70 years (since I was 7!). I lived locally until I was 18 and went to Coventry for my degree. After graduation, the Civil Service sent me to Southend where we've lived ever since. My mum still lives locally and I try to get to one match/month and go see her on the same day. My first match (taken by my granddad) was in the Main Stand; then I used to stand behind the goal at the Holmesdale Road end (when it was an open terrace), then from the top of the muddy bank at the Whitehorse Lane end (before it was redeveloped), then the Arthur Wait Stand (firstly when a covered terrace and then in seats. Now I go into the Main Stand - you showed the turnstiles I go in at about 08:30. I have not yet done a tour - must do!! looking forward to the redevelopment of the Main Stand asap.
Went for a match there, completely unexpecting what I'd see...and fell in love with it... It's raw man...battle scarred and rusty wth a decent sized Sainsbury's next door.
Hey Ry, i’ve been an American Palace fan since i was 8 and i’ve always wanted to visit Selhurt Park. I’m almost 19 so i can’t really travel now but i’d like to say thank you for the detailed tour, and i’m excited to see Selhurst soon!
Hey Ry, I am glad you visited Selhurst. It’s a ground I really like. I’ve seen a few matches there and I spent quite a bit of time working in the area. It’s an old school stadium and in todays London of gentrification that is a welcome relief. Palace‘s original stadium is located a short hop from there, It’s in Crystal Palace Park. A good tip,the train from East Croydon to Norwood junction gives a great view of the stadium from the tracks. What I love about Selhurst on Non Match days that you have free parking around the streets, rare in London. Good work Mate.
I was shocked that I was able to just rock up and park at the ground - was a mission at other London clubs 😁 …thanks for the info on the old ground - should have paid it a visit really
I love Selhurst park been loads of times palace and Wimbledon games and it’s my favourite ground saw Chris Armstrong scoring goals here
Was hoping to see a few Bunny Girls working their magic in the Big Malcom Allison Lounge.
Haha me too 😅 🐰
Crystal girls
I love that somebody else likes the tease of the corners of stadiums as much as I. Keep up the great content sir. Would love to see you do Carrow Road or if you ever in Holland check out the 3 stadiums in Rotterdam. OTBC
Haha sexy aren’t they 🤣👍🏾 good choices!
I've recently subscribed Ry and Sam North (who does Footy Adventures) does mainly Scottish clubs (as he lives in Scotland).
You should check out Pittodrie, Aberdeen,Parkhead Celtic and Ibrox,Rangers.
Another great video mate…interesting to see behind the scenes at these clubs. 👍🏻
Cheers mate, they’re enjoyable to make!
Hi am a new subscriber to the channel. I like your videos. Am a huge Manchester United fan I also visit stadiums too. I have a list to tick off. Last month I visited Bristol Rovers, Bristol City and Wolverhampton Wanderers is a beautiful stadium. I need to go to London Stadium’s but my main ones are Queens Park Rangers, Charlton Athletic. Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur. Wycombe Wanderers and Leyton Orient I want visit too.
thanks so much. everyone wants a tour there because of ted lasso. only club that said they could film at the stadium. crystal palace has gotten plenty of usa fans and buying tickets to go see a match. you need to book way in advance for a tour.
Great traditional stadium. Would much rather watch or visit a stadium like this rather than a souless bowl. Thanks for the video
I'm a Pompey fan (now in the US). I remember going away to Selhurst Park back in late 90s (?) to watch a Boxing Day fixture against...Wimbledon.
Getting to Croydon was OK but still took another hour to get to the ground!
Unfortunately I had got front row seats, pitchside and it was bloody freezing. As I remember it was a 0-0 draw!!!😂
despite you being a rag, I enjoyed watching this video.
Keep it up I am sure it will work.
Haha cheers mate 😁👍🏾 appreciate the kind words
Crystal Palace back in the upper mid table next season
Pete an Alice 🦅 ❤️💙❤️💙❤️💙
Should definitely aim bigger and do the 92 clubs of the league, matchday and stadium tours, if time and finances allow. You do a great job and only going to get better. Watching from Australia so living my football experiences through you, cheers Legend!
Thank you mate yes I’ll 100% do the 92 on the channel (+ more lol) just the initial goal of all Prem clubs by the end of the season 😊👍🏾
Don’t forget they shared Selhurst park with Wimbledon for years
Also Charlton. He did mention it in the video.
3:25 Great away day at Palace although it's been a while.😂 Get yourself to Portman Rd if you like a few good big stands and corners!
Hoping to check Ipswich out as a Premier League club in the summer 😉👍🏾
Love your channel Ry. Keep up the great work/content. Big United supporter from California ⚽️
Thank you mate 😊👍🏾 big game on Boxing Day against Villa
Great video I really enjoy them 💪 how did you got the idea to this awsome videos? Respect from Denmark.
Glad you like them! I just enjoy visiting new and old stadiums so thought stuff it - I'll start recording my experiences :D
The 2 mascots Pete and Alice have those names as if you combine them they become Palace (I think)
That makes sense now you mention it 😅
Yes it's old school for crystal palace FC because I am a crystal palace fan
I'm also a palace fan and have been since 1969 am 62 now and wouldn't change a thing . U T P
I’m a Palace fan from California that once lived near Selhurst park. I’m back at Selhurst today for the first time in 25 years for the Palace v Man U match. Thanks for the video. Funny note, I’m an American that doesn’t really know or care who Ted Lasso is😂
Haha Palace fans are class fair play. Can see them winning tonight
you picked a good match to come back for 😊
I didn't think any ground could be a as grim as Kenilworth Road, but selhurst Park runs it close. Footballers' wives also used the ground - some great scenes for the lads, if you know what I mean.
haha did love Footballers Wives I must say
@RysFootyParadise I only watched it last year when I was stealing some ITVX. Surprised you were allowed to watch it as a young teen. I've been going through your vids over the last month or so. Great stuff. Do you have a PO Box so I could send you a few shillings?
Hopefully the plans to expand and improve the stadium finally happen. Glasner has got us playing such good football. Just hope we can keep our best players! Eze, Olise, Wharton, Guehi and Anderson, just to name a few.
Brighton and Hove Albion rivalry developed from I believe from the third division days when both clubs fought for promotion. If you watch on old Big Match 1970s re-runs you get the vibe.
Brighton isn't far from Pompey but I'm sure most Pompey people would prefer the Eagles over the Seagulls!
I like you content jersey & Tour of stadium.
Thank you 👍🏾
Hi,place fan here.Enjoyed your video. The ground does need a facelift, but like you say its an old school ground that does retain some charm, and makes a change from most premier league grounds that are totally homogenised.I do worry though given palace's recent form, and the threat of relegation, whether the redevelopment pf the ground will go ahead.
Shows how massively jealous palace are of Brighton 😂
Hi mate u sound more upbeat then the dudes up Leicester
Those corners… 😅
🍆
I think they want it like that to go with the area 😅
Emirates
Either the 2nd or 3rd week of Jan 😉👍🏾
Do giveaway
Good idea 👍🏾
Up the palace 🔴🔵🦅
Typical classless Palace with the Brighton shirt in the bin. Oh and don’t hold your breath for the new stand. Did you ask when it will be finished? Never going to happen 😂
haha naughty
Exactly 😂 living in brightons shadow
I used to live in the Upper Norwood Area but supported Millwall... that area hasn't changed much in the last 30 years by the looks of it.
looks a right dump !
Maybe not the best externally 😅 internally it was nice
Probably the worst ground in the prem
I think Luton takes a lot of beating though
Got nowt on villa park ey
Villa Park is one of my favourite English stadiums, has the old school look but classy and well maintained
@RysFootyParadise so it should be, paradise in desert of mediocrity lol
@@captainhindsight6994 haha will be back there soon… a little concerned about the game Boxing Day mind 😅
Selhurst Park: the world's biggest toilet.
Bit harsh 🤣 the exterior is a bit rough around the edges…
It is 😂
That’s kinda messed up to say. Like… sure, it’s not the new shiny stadium. But it has character to it. Great atmosphere!
Looks like it should be an ASDA
Real
Hey what is the closest stand to where thr players walk onto the pitch from
