Kenmore Gas Stove Oven Door Removal or replacement

Kenmore Gas Stove Oven door removal, replacement, fix
1. Open Door fully
2. Insert hinge locking pins ( I used screws) in left and right hinge plates (look for small hole in each hinge plate)
3. Remove 2 screws with washers securing door to hinge levers
4. Raise door until it stops at the locking pin point
5. Remove door
6. Reinstall in reverse order

Just curious is there a reason why you removed the screws holding the hinge down prior to reinstalling the oven screws? Or just make sure you remove the screws before closing? Thanks.
